Obituary:  Chateaugay Record and Franklin County Democrat (NY), Friday, 26 February 1915:  Ellenburgh West Hill - Henry Peets an old and respected resident of West Hill passed to the great beyond Friday night.  The funeral was held Monday.

Alfred Peets:  Chateaugay Record (NY), Friday, 19 March 1937:  Fred Peets passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alfred McDonald on West Main Street last Saturday afternoon, following a decline in health for the past fourteen months.  The deceased was born in Chateaugay 66 years ago, a son of the late Henry and Nancy (Sancomb) Peets and moved to Ellenburg with his parents when he was fourteen years of age.  He was well known and highly regarded by a wide circle of friends as a true Christian man, honest and industrious and his death is keenly mourned.  Forty two years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Malinda Dupree and he is survived by his widow, six daughters, Mrs. Paul Miller, of Ellenburg, Mrs. William Trombly, of Burke, Mrs. Elazador Nichols and Miss Adrian Peets, of Johnson City, Mrs. Alfred McDonald, of Chateaugay, Mrs. Peter Laclair, of Churubusco, one sister, Mrs. Charles Senecal, of Ellenburg, three brothers, Louis and John of Ellenburg, and Samuel, of Keene, N.H.  Funeral services were held at St. Patrick’s church on Tuesday morning, Rev. J.R. Kennedy officiating.

Louis Peets:  Chateaugay Record (NY), Friday, 21 August 1942:  Louis Peets, a highly respected citizen of Ellenburg Center, died at the Physicans hospital in Plattsburgh, Thursday, August 13th at 5 a.m. at the age of 67.  Due to impaired health he moved from his farm to the village two years ago where he had a host of friends who will miss seeing him about town.  Tuesday evening he became critically ill, was rushed to the hospital where Dr. McDowell performed an emergency operation on Wednesday morning.  He grew rapidly worse until the end came Thursday morning.  Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Mabel, and four sons, Henry, Jean and Floyd all of Ellenburg Center, and Donald of Buffalo, one sister, Mrs. Nettie Senecal, and two brothers, John of Ellenburg Center and Samuel of Keene, N.H., and several grand-children.  Mr. Peets was greatly devoted to his home and family.  His many friends sympathize with them in their bereavement.  The funeral was held at St. Edmund's church, Saturday at 10 a. m., Rev. O. A. Boyer officiating at the requiem high mass.  Burial was in the Ellenburg cemetery.  The pall bearers were: Edmund and William Patnode, George Lloyd, John Blow, George Dumont and Philip Robare.

John Ernest Peets:  Plattsburgh-Press Republican (NY), Thursday, 8 November 1962:  John E. Peets, 79, Dies after Short Illness:  Ellenburg Centre:  John E. Peets, 79, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness.  A farmer for many years, he was born June 6, 1883, in Chateaugay, the son of Henry and Nancy Peets.  He is survived by his wife Nina, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Murphy of Plattsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Senecal of Ellenburg Center.  The body is at the Drown Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Edmond’s Church in Ellenburg.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Nettie Peets:  Press Republican (NY), Monday, 31 January 1983:  Ellenburg Center - Nettie M. Senecal, 97, died Friday evening Jan. 28, 1983, at the CVPH Medical Center.  She was born Sept. 17, 1885, in Ellenburg Center, the daughter of Henry and Nancy (Sancomb) Peets.  She was a communicant of St. Edmund's Church, a 38-year member of Court Little Rose Catholic Daughter of America, and a trustee of that organization for many years.  Her husband, Charles Senecal, died in 1938.  She was also pre-deceased by five brothers, two sisters and three children.  Survivors include three sons, Elisha and William, both of Ellenburg Center, and Gerald of Hurst Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Dorothy) Stay of Plattsburgh; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Calling hours will be at the Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg Depot, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
