Obituary:  Plattsburgh Press Republican (NY), Thursday, 8 November 1962:  John E. Peets, 79, Dies after Short Illness: Ellenburg Centre: John E. Peets, 79, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness.  A farmer for many years, he was born June 6, 1883, in Chateaugay, the son of Henry and Nancy Peets.  He is survived by his wife Nina, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Murphy of Plattsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Senecal of Ellenburg Center.  The body is at the Drown Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Edmond’s Church in Ellenburg.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Obituary:  Plattsburgh Press Republican (NY), Wednesday, 4 May 1977:  Ellenburg Center - Mrs. Mina Peets, 91, died Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Nursing Home at Plattsburgh.  She was born Aug. 24, 1885, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Boyer) Santos.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Raphael Mary Murphy of Plattsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Clare Anngotta of Johnson City; a grandson and four great-grandchildren.  Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Drown Funeral home in Ellenburg Depot.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Raphael Mary Pitre:  Press Republican (Plattsburgh, NY), Thursday, 23 April 1992:  Plattsburgh - Raphael M. Murphy, 82, died Wednesday, April 22, 1992, at CVPH Medical Center.  She was born July 21, 1909, in Ellenburg, the daughter of John and Mina (Santos) Peets.  She was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital in Jersey City, N.J., and was formerly employed as a nurse for Drs. Villafranca and Likhite of Plattsburgh.  Survivors include a son, Charles Murphy of Loudenville; four grandchildren, two great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter.  Her husband, Charles Murphy, died in 1953.  Calling hours will be held at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home of Plattsburgh from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Church.  Burial will be in St. Edmunds' Cemetery in Ellenburg.
