Obituary:  Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Saturday, 27 May 1989:  Herve O Pitre, 95 of Leominster, Massachusetts - Fitchburg:  Herve O. Pitre, 95, of 14 Rockdale Ave., died yesterday in Keystone Nursing Home, Leominster.  His wife, Beatrice M. (Gauthier) Pitre, died in 1974.  He leaves two sons, Robert H. Pitre of Fitchburg and Leo T. Pitre of Leominster; a daughter, Claire M. Mailloux of Fitchburg; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was born in Fitchburg, a son of Alphonse and Pamelia (Dupre) Pitre, and was a lifelong resident.  He worked for 49 years as a sawsmith for Simonds Saw and Steel Co., retiring in 1959.  He was a member of the Simonds Veterans Club and St. Francis of Assisi Church.  The funeral will be held Tuesday from the Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 82 Sheridan St.  Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 Monday night.

Obituary:  The Daily Sentinel and Leominster Enterprise (Fitchburg, MA), Monday, 29 July 1974:  Mrs. Herve O. Pitre.  Mrs. Beatrice M. Pitre, 80, of 30 Rockdale St., wife of Herve O. Pitre, died Sunday in Burbank Hospital.  She was born in Three Rivers, April 22, 1894, a daughter of the late Thomas and Georgianna (LaFortune) Pitre, and lived in Fitchburg more than 70 years.  She was a member of St. Francis Church.  Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert H. Pitre of Fitchburg and Leo T. Pitre of Leominster; a daughter, Claire, wife of Leonard Mailloux of Fitchburg; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.  The funeral will be held Tuesday from the Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church.  Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.  Calling hours in the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Lucille Pitre:  Evening Gazette (Worcester, MA), Wednesday, 4 January 1928:  Fitchburg, Jan. 4 - Lucille Pitre, aged 6, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herve Pitre, died this morning at the home of her parents on Rockdale avenue, following a long illness.  She was born in this city and besides her parents, she leaves a sister, Claire and two brothers, Robert and Leo.  The funeral will be tomorrow at 2 o'clock at St. Francis church with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery in charge of John B. Aubuchon.

"Buster" Pitre, 71, of 360 Canton St., died yesterday in Leominster Hospital after an illness.  He leaves his wife of 28 years, Rosina (Hobbs) Pitre of Fitchburg; a son, Robert H. Pitre Jr. of Leominster; three stepdaughters, Linda Ford and Bonnie Bissell, both of Ayer, and Cherrie Case in Australia; a brother, Leo T. Pitre of Leominster; a sister, Claire Mailloux of Fitchburg; a grandson; three step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Barbara Barrett of Fitchburg.  His first wife, Margaret (Hawkins) Pitre, died in 1963.  He was born in Fitchburg, son of Herve O. and Beatrice (Gauthier) Pitre, and lived here all his life.  He was a 1941 graduate of Fitchburg High School, where he was an outstanding football player and co-captain of the football team.  He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.  Mr. Pitre was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 1981.  He was a member of St. Bernard's Church.  The funeral will be held tomorrow from Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 228 Water St.  Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 255 Bear Hill Road, Waltham, 02154, or left at the funeral home.

Pitre, 94, of Leominster passed away peacefully in the Highlands on December 25, 2020.  Pitre Funeral services and burial will be held privately.  Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
