Pacifique Pitre: Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Saturday, 19 February 1944: Funeral Yesterday - The funeral of Mr. Pacifique Peters was held yesterday from his late residence 112 Green St. to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. R. Baines, C.S.S.R. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Emmett Hagan, Thomas Malone, Stillman Frizzell, James McKenna, Joseph Gallant and Frank Smith. Service at the grave was conducted by Rev. J. Edward, C.S.S.R. Interment was in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Gilbert Pitre: Boston Herald (MA), Monday, 30 June 1941 - Peabody, June 29 - Gilbert Peters, proprietor of a chain of barber shops, died today at his home, 32 King street, after a brief illness. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., he opened a barber shop here more than 50 years ago and at one time had served as official barber at the city infirmary. He retired about five years ago. The funeral will be Tuesday from the home at 8:15, with a requiem high mass at St. John's Church at 9 and burial in St. Mary's cemetery, Salem.
