**This family may be incorrect.  There are pieces that fit and pieces missing.  There are 5 children of Gilbert Pitre & Marguerite Martin whose baptism records appear in the Rustico registers, so their birthdates are sourced.  Sylvain was born 1 August 1870, appeared in the 1881 census aged 12, but not in the 1891 census.  The 1896 marriage record states groom is John Peters, son of Gilbert & Margaret Peters, and was born 1874 on PEI.  (This could mean he was the son of Gilbert and his second wife Marguerite Doiron, but no mention in the 1881 census.)  He does not seem to appear in the 1900/01 census as he was emigrating during 1900, so presumably missed the 1900 US census.  The 1910 NY census states he is 33, and the 1920 NY census states Augusta is now a widow.  If anyone can provide evidence pro or con for this connection I'd be very appreciative.
