Obituary:  Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Sunday, 26 October 1958:  Ferdinana M. Pitre (Pete) - Died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the Plaquemine Sanitarium at age 61.  He was a native of Thibodaux and a residence at death of Addis.  Religious services will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in Brusly at 3 p.m. Sunday, with arrangements in charge of Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  He is survived by one son, Roland A., of New Orleans; four daughters, Mrs. W.L. Cutrer, Harvey, Mrs. Joe Haynes, Plaquemine, Mrs. Gordon Gisler, Tacoma, Wash., and Miss Alice Faye Pitre, Addis; 2 brothers, R. C. Pitre, Alexandria, and George A. Pitre, New Orleans; 14 grandchildren.  He was the husband of the former Julia Ruiz, Addis, and the father of the late F.M. Pitre Jr., Addis.

Obituary:  The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Friday, 14 March 1997 - Julia Irene Ruiz Pitre, 96, of Plaquemine - A resident of Addis, she died at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine.  She was 96 and a native of Brusly St. Martin.  Visiting was held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.  Visiting at the funeral home 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly at 1 p.m. Thursday, celebrated by the Rev. Eric Gyan.  Burial in church cemetery.  Survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Marjorie Haynes, Edith Mae and Winson L. Cutrer and Alice Faye and Harry Martinez, all of Plaquemine, and Audrey May and Gordon Gisler, Puyallup, Wash.; a son, Roland Pitre, Port Allen; two sisters, Maude Logos, New Orleans, and Marie Louise Jones, Chalmette; three brothers, Israel, Russell and Arthur Ruiz, all of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by husband Ferdinand Pitre Sr.; a son, Ferdinand Pitre Jr.; five grandsons, a great-granddaughter, parents, two sisters and a brother.  She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. John the Baptist No. 2079, Brusly.

Roland Augustin Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 15 February 2005:  Roland Augustin Pitre, age 80, died on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 3:00 am of respiratory failure.  He was a resident of Houma, LA and a native of Addis, LA.  Survivors: ex-wife, Emily Gros Pitre of Metairie, one daughter: Sherry Pitre Counce of New Orleans, and four sons: Danny Pitre of Houma; Michael Pitre of Metairie, Roland Pitre, Jr. of Washington and Rodney Pitre of Metairie; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  Also survived by two sisters: Alice Faye and Harry Martinez of Plaquemine; Audrey Mae and Gordon Gisler of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents: Ferdinand Marshall and Julia Ruiz Pitre; brother: Ferdinand Pitre, Jr., son: Wade Pitre; sisters: Margie P. Edith May Pitre:  The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Sunday, 14 November 2004:  Edith Mae or Maw Maw Pitre Cutrer, 75 of Plaquemine - A homemaker and resident of Plaquemine, she died at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine.  She was 75 and a native of Addis.  Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, until Rite of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Cleo Milano.  Entombment in Grace Memorial Park.  Survived by her husband of 58 years, Winson "Roy" Cutrer; daughter, Linda Whittington, Plaquemine; two sisters, Audrey Mae Gisler and husband Gordon, Washington, and Alice Faye Martinez and husband Harry, Plaquemine; a brother, Roland Pitre, Houma; three grandchildren, Arie Whittington, Jamie Turner and husband Rick and Rachel Elmore; and three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Nicholas and Julia.  Preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand Marshall and Julia Irene Ruiz Pitre; son, Winson Cutrer Jr.; brother, Ferdinand Marshall "Sonny" Cutrer Jr.; sister, Marjorie Haynes; and grandson-in-law, Elwin J. Alice Faye Pitre:  The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Wednesday, 5 August 2020:  Alice Pitre "Faye" Martinez passed away peacefully at Iberville Oaks Nursing & Rehab on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at the age of 82.  She was a resident of Plaquemine and a native of Addis, La.  A graveside service will be held at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 10am, conducted by Deacon David Dawson.  We ask that family and friends please abide by the Covid-19 guidelines that are set in place.  She is survived by her sister, Audrey Mae Gisler; sister-in-law, Joyce Martinez; cousins-in-law, Roy Brown, J. E. Sharon and wife Joan; special friends, Janice Tullier and Sue Sharon; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joseph "Harry" Martinez; parents, Ferdinand, Sr. and Julia Ruiz Pitre; sisters, Marjorie Haynes and Edith Mae Cutrer; brothers, Roland Pitre and Ferdinand Pitre, Jr.; brother-in-law, George E. Martinez; and special cousin-in-law, Janice Brown.  Special thanks to her caregivers Margaret Bell, LeKeyta Bell, Cynthia Brown and Nicole Jacob for their loving care and devotion.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Louisiana Federation for the Blind or a charity of your choice.
