Obituary:  Saint John Times Globe (St. John, NB), Wednesday, 15 January 1964:  The death of Frank Peters of 1 Union Place occurred in the Saint John General Hospital Monday evening following a brief illness.  Mr. Peters, in his 76th year, was born in Prince Edward Island.  He resided in Saint John for the last 45 years.  Surviving are three sons, Joseph, Valmore and Leonard, all of Saint John; three daughters, Mrs. Gordon Alberts and Mrs. Ernest Bushpan, both of Saint John, and Mrs. Renee Belleau, Quebec; a brother, Joseph of Prince Edward Island; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  The body is resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, from where the funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:45 to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for high mass of requiem at 9 o'clock.  Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Obituary:  Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Monday, 4 May 1936:  Peters - At the Saint John General Hospital on May 2, 1936, Annie, wife of Frank Peters, leaving to mourn her husband, two sons, three daughters, four brothers and two sisters.  Funeral Monday morning at 8:10 o'clock from O'Neill's Funeral Home to Holy Trinity Church for high mass of requiem at 8:30 o'clock.  Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Joseph Pitre:  Saint John Times Globe (St. John, NB), Thursday, 1 June 1967:  The death of Joseph F. Peters of 43 Charles Street occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John General Hospital early Wednesday evening.  Born at Rogersville, Northumberland County, he was the son of the late Francis and Mary Anne Peters.  He resided in Saint John for the past 40 years, and was employed for the greater part of his life at the Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. Ltd.  He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Gaudet, and by two sons, Francis and Charles, both of Saint John.  The body is resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, from where the funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8:45 o'clock to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for High Mass of requiem at 9 o'clock.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

 

Alvena Mary Peters:  Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Monday, 6 November 1989:  Alberts - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 4, 1989, Alvena M. Alberts of 304 Carmarthen Street, wife of William (Dutchie) Bynoe, survived by her sister, Theresa G. Belleau of Fort Coulonge, Que., her sister-in-law, Anne Peters of Saint John, several nieces and nephews.  Resting at Castle Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday with service at 2 p.m.  Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.  Visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

 

Mary Doris Peters:  Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Saturday, 7 May 1988:  Mrs. Doris Mary Bushfan of 175 Britain Street, widow of Ernest Bushfan, died at the St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday.  Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ann (Thibodeau) Peters and a life-long resident of the city.  She is survived by three sons, Paul of Ontario, Peter of Saint John, and Phillip of Moncton; two sisters, Mrs. Alvena Alberts of Saint John and Theresa Belleau of Fort Coulougne, Que.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  The body is resting at Brenan's Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Monday at 9:40 a.m. to St. John the Baptist Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home is today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

 

Joseph Francis Valmore Peters:  Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Saturday, 15 November 1986:  Valmore Joseph Peters of 322 Colin Avenue, husband of Ann (Beatteay) Peters, died at St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday.  Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Peters.  He resided in Saint John the greater part of his life and was employed as a wood-cutter with Raymond Parker before his retirement due to ill health.  He was an adherent to St. Luke's Anglican Church.  Surviving, besides his wife, are four daughters, Marlene, Mrs. Ronald Corvex, Kim, Mrs. Terry Warren and Sherry, Mrs. Gary Hatfield, all of Saint John and Tracy Peters, at home; one son, Joe of Saint John; three sisters, Theresa of Quebec and Doris and Elvina, both of Saint John; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  The body is resting at Brenan's Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held on Monday at Brenan's Chapel with service at 11 a.m.  Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension.  Visiting hours at the funeral home today and Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

 

Joseph Henry Leonard Peters:  Telegraph Journal (St. John, NB), Monday, 11 November 1985:  Leonard Joseph Peters of 174 Pitt Street, husband of Doreen Beechin, died at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday after a brief period of failing health.  Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Anne (Thibodeau) Peters.  He was a woodsman.  He is survived by his wife, Doreen; three step-daughters, Elaine, Mrs. Joseph Legere, Linda, Mrs. Donald Dempster, both of Hampton and Deborah of Toronto; two step-sons, David Beechin and Kevin Beechin, both of Hampton; three sisters, Alvina, Mrs. Gordon Alberts, Doris, Mrs. Ernest Bushfan, and Theresa, Mrs. Rene Belleau, all of Saint John; one brother, Valmore Peters of Saint John; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  The body is resting at Brenan's Funeral Home from where the procession will leave on Wednesday at 11:50 a.m. for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to celebrate mass of the resurrection at 12 noon.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
