Francis Joseph Michael Peters: Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home (St. John, NB): Francis Joseph Michael ‘Frank’ Peters, 1945-2016: It is with heavy hearts that the family of Francis Joseph Michael Peters (Sugarbear) announce his passing on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Bobby's Hospice, after a short but brave battle with cancer. Frank will be forever missed by his one and only daughter Heather Peters and his precious grandchildren Francesca and Anthony. Frank was a much sought godfather and leaves behind a great number of loving godchildren, In-laws and many nieces and nephews. Frank was a devoted Catholic enjoying a rich and meaningful religious life. Born in Saint John, February 24, 1945. Frank was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Gaudet) Peters. Frank was a Boilermaker and Welder by trade for several years until his retirement. He is survived by his brother Charles of Aurora, ON. Frank was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Logan) Peters. Resting at Kennebecasis Funeral Home, Quispamsis with visiting on Thursday, August 25 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10AM. Interment to take place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Salisbury, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
