Obituary:  Ludington Daily News (MI), Tuesday, 23 April 1940:  Frank Peters dies at Detroit April 22 - Word has been received by Gideon Peters, 405 East Dowland street of the death of Frank Peters of Detroit, former resident of Ludington.  Mr. Peters, 63 years of age, passed away on April 22 at Detroit.  Mr. Peters was born in Alfred, Ontario, Canada, where he spent his youth before coming to Ludington to make his home.  He was affiliated with St. Simon's Roman Catholic church of this city.  The body will be returned to Ludington and will rest at Morrison chapel until the time of the services, Thursday, at 9 o'clock in the morning, at St. Simon's church.  Interment will be made in Pere Marquette cemetery.

- Ludington Daily News (MI), Thursday, 25 April 1940:  Rites are held for Frank Peters - Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock this morning at St. Simon's Catholic church for Frank V. Peters, resident of Ludington for 30 years, who passed away on April 22 in Detroit.  The service was conducted by Rev. Thomas Albin, pastor of the church.  Pallbearers were George Ackersville, Andrew Murphy, John Gavan, Joseph Mark, Joseph Zinsmeister and John Cronin.  Interment was made in Pere Marquette cemetery.  The many beautiful floral pieces and Mass cards were a token of the esteem in which Mr. Peters was held by his friends.  A large number of local and out-of-town friends attended the services.  Out-of-town persons present were Mrs. Martin Tholen of Flint, Mrs. Richard Thomas and Mrs. Leon Lord of Detroit, all daughters of Mr. Peters, and Mr. Tholen and Mr. Lord; Frank Peters Jr. of Detroit, son of the deceased; Mrs. M. Miller of Muskegon, a niece, and Miss Dorothy McIntyre of Flint, a granddaughter.  Six other grandchildren were unable to be present.

Obituary:  Ludington Daily News (MI), Monday, 11 June 1934:  The body of Mrs. Elizabeth Peters who passed away Saturday morning in Detroit, arrived this noon and will rest in Dorrell chapel until 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, when funeral services will be held from St. Simon's Roman Catholic church.  Interment will be made in the family lot in Pere Marquette cemetery.  Elizabeth Bisner was born in Ludington June 13, 1881, and was married when 20 years of age to Frank Peters, who survives.  They made their home in Ludington for a number of years, but moved away 20 years ago.  For 10 years Mrs. Peters had lived in Detroit with her daughter Mrs. Florence Lord.  She had been ailing for two years with a heart trouble which caused her death.  Surviving besides the widower are a son Frank Peters Jr., three daughters Mrs. Isabel Tholen of Twin Lakes, Mrs. Florence Lord of Detroit and Mrs. Katherine Blackburn of Detroit, six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Gayne of Wisconsin.

Frank Joseph Peters:  The Daily News Leader (Staunton, VA), Sunday, 3 August 1958:  F. J. Peters Dies at 57 - Frank J. Peters, 57, of Mt. Sidney died Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., where he had gone for treatment about two weeks ago.  Mr. Peters was a native of Michigan and lived in Washington a number of years before coming to Mt. Sidney about five years ago.  He was owner of the Blue Ridge Fence & Window Company at Mt. Sidney and also was secretary-treasurer of the newly formed corporation, Aluminum Burial Vaults of America.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irma Floyd Peters, Mt. Sidney; a step-son, Harry Floyd Emmitt, Memphis, Tenn., and three sisters residing in Michigan.  A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church, Ft. Defiance, conducted by the Rev. James A. Allison, Jr.  He will be assisted by the Rev. Samuel Flora, Pastor of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be: Malcolm Garber, John E. Shipplett, Sr., Charles Thurston, Leon Diehl, William Molley, George Hobson, S. J. Zemyan and David L. Doering.  Honorary pallbearers will be salesmen and employees of the Blue Ridge Fence and Window Company.  The body will remain at the Fred Henry Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Monday and then will be placed in the church.  The pallbearers are requested to assemble at the church at 1:45 p.m.

Sidney businessman, who died Friday in Rochester, Minn., was held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church.  The service was conducted by the Rev. James A. Allison, Jr. and the Rev. Samuel Flora.  Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Florence Peters:  Gladstone - Florence M. Larson, 88, of Gladstone, died Thursday, May 20, 1993.  Daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Bisner) Peters, she was born Oct. 29, 1904, in Menominee.  She married George Larson Sept. 11, 1950, in Menominee.  She moved to Gladstone in 1968.  She had owned and operated the Eagle's Nest Supper Club in Menominee and also Bill's Bar in Rapid River.  She was a member of All Saints Church in Gladstone.  Survivors include: her husband, George; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Lord of Menominee; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew.  She was preceded in death by: her parents; two sons, Bill in 1976, and Bob in 1992; four sisters; and one brother.  Visitation is today (Sunday) from 4 to 8 p.m. at Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.  Funeral will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Greg Heikkala officiating.  Interment will be in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
