Sentinel (NY), Wednesday, 31 May 1916: Frank Peets, aged 38 years, died
at his home in Dannemora yesterday. Deceased was extremely popular among
his friends and acquaintances and the news of his death will come as a shock to
his many friends. Mr. Peets is survived by his wife and one son,
Raymond, his mother, Mrs. Libbie Peets, two sisters, Mrs. Felix
Lamar and Mrs. Nellie Crowder, and two brothers, Earl and Norman, all
of this city. The funeral services will be held at Dannemora tomorrow with
interment at Lyon Mountain.
- Chateaugay Record (NY), Friday, 2 June 1916: Mr. And Mrs. H. P. Harrica were called to Dannemora this week by the death of Frank Peets, a brother-in-law of Mrs. Harrica. Mr. Peets was buried at Lyon Mountain on Wednesday, he being a former well known resident of Merrill. He has been in poor health for the past year and about two weeks ago developed pneumonia and in his weakened condition, could not stand the ravages of this dread disease. He is survived by his widow and one son, Raymond.

Obituary: Chateaugay Record (NY), Wednesday, 20 February 1980: Mrs. Mary Jane Stark, 94, of Chateaugay, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 1980 at Alice Hyde Nursing Home, where she had been confined since a hip injury received in February 1975. Born at Chateaugay Lake May 7, 1885, she was a daughter of Charles and Mary Smith Ducharme. Twice married, her first husband Frank Peets and an only son Raymond predeceased her many years ago. She was married to Charles Stark in August 1952 and they resided in this village until his death in 1958. She was a communicate of St. Patrick's Church and faithful member of the church's Altar Rosary Society and of the senior citizens club. Surviving are two grandsons, Dr. Ronnie Peets, Michigan and Raymond Peets, Syracuse and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Chapel of the Chateaugay Funeral Home. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dannemora in the spring.

Raymond Charles Peets: Chateaugay Record (NY), Friday, 19 June 1942: Funeral services for Raymond C. Peets, of Dannemora, former acting mayor of that village, who died on Wednesday evening at the Champlain Valley hospital, were held on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Joseph's church at Dannemora. Rev. A.P. Landry was celebrant of the solemn requiem high mass assisted by Rev. Ambrose R. Hyland as deacon; and Rev. Earl Taylor as sub-deacon. Rev. W. H. Brennan of Willsboro, was master of ceremonies. Guards from Clinton prison attended the services as a unit. Pall bearers were: Dr. Leo A. Thume, John Quinn, Jerry Keefe, Louis Hamilton, Daniel Caranuse and Wilfred Bourey. Burial was in the church cemetery. Those from this vicinity who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Harrica of Chateaugay, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Phillips, Miss Isabel Phillips and Anthony Douglas of Frontier. Mr. Peets is survived by his wife the former Miss Catherine Douglas, of Dannemora, two sons, Ronald and Raymond, his mother, Mrs. Jane Peets of Belchertown, Mass., two grandmothers, Mrs. Frank Peets of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Mary J. Ducharme of Merrill, three aunts, Mrs. Nellie Crowder of Plattsburgh, Mrs. William O'Brien of Dannemora and Mrs. H. P. Harrica of this village.
