Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 22 October 1956:  Pitre - On Sunday, October 21, 1956, at five o'clock a.m., Edward P. Pitre, aged 80 years, father of David F. Sr. and Edward R. Pitre, brother of Vic A. Pitre and the late Morris M. Pitre and Mrs. Oscar Labauve, grandfather of David F. Pitre Jr.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the Laudumier funeral home 1225 North Rampart street, on Monday, October 22, 1956 at 2 o'clock p.m., followed by services at St. Louis Cathedral.  Interment in Westwego, La.

Pitre, Sr., on Wednesday, July 26, 1989 at 4:45 a.m.  Beloved husband of Dorothy Gerdes Pitre.  Father of Darleen Asebedo and David F. Pitre Jr.  Father-in-law of Jerod Asebedo and Barbara Tully Pitre.  Grandfather of Brooke and Kortney Asebedo.  Age 77 years.  A native of Larose, LA and a resident of Chalmette, LA for the past 15 years.  Relatives and friends of the family also employees of the Napoleon House of the Palladium are invited to attend the funeral service from the Chalmette location of the St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, Chalmette, LA, on Thursday, July 27, 1989 at 1:00 o'clock a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial in the chapel.  Interment in St. Vincent de Paul No. II.  Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
