Pitre, Sr., on Wednesday, July 26, 1989 at 4:45 a.m.  Beloved husband of Dorothy Gerdes Pitre.  Father of Darleen Asebedo and David F. Pitre Jr.  Father-in-law of Jerod Asebedo and Barbara Tully Pitre.  Grandfather of Brooke and Kortney Asebedo.  Age 77 years.  A native of Larose, LA and a resident of Chalmette, LA for the past 15 years.  Relatives and friends of the family also employees of the Napoleon House of the Palladium are invited to attend the funeral service from the Chalmette location of the St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, Chalmette, LA, on Thursday, July 27, 1989 at 1:00 o'clock a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial in the chapel.  Interment in St. Vincent de Paul No. II.  Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

Obituary:  The Advocate Messenger (Danville, KY), Sunday, 20 August 2006:  Nora M. West - Knoxville - Nora Marguerite West, 91, formerly of Danville, died Saturday.  Born in Houma, La., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Argentine Dufrene King.  She was a member of West Hills Baptist Church and Bearden Chapter O.E.S.  Survivors include her husband, Marvin W. West; three sons, David Pitre of Covington, La., Mike West of Athens, Tenn., and Harry Callicotte; a daughter, Marcia Callicotte of Elizabethtown; a sister, Mearline Rutt of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Clifford King of Metairie, La., and Leonard King of Chalmette, La.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel by the Revs. John E. Pennington Jr. and Ron West.  Interment to follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tim Birchett, Mike Shoemaker, Clay Mulford, Richard Alley, Rodney Franks and Bill Hayes.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

Obituary:  The St. Bernard Voice (Arabi, LA), 13 March 2015:  Dorothy 'Dot' Pitre passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.  She was born on June 4, 1921.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.  Beloved mother of Darleen Asevedo (husband Jerod).  Grandmother of Brooke Martinson (husband Nick) and Kortney Buras (husband Steven).  Great-grandmother of Steven Ross and Kane Raylon Buras.  Best and dearest friends Jill and Bob Patin.  Beloved wife of the late David F Pitre Sr.  Also the daughter of the late Anita Rowe and Fredick Gerdes.  Late sisters Thelma Watson, Hazel Dudoussat and Rosa Everett.  Dot will be missed by her nieces and nephews of the Dudoussat, Everett, Watson, Sellno, Chelette, Schaubhut and Patin families.  She was a native of New Orleans, long time resident of Chalmette and resided at Ferncrest Manor in New Orleans East.  Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 3 p.m. at her daughter's home in Chalmette.  Memorial of her cremation and spreading of ashes will be private.
