- Edward or "Eddie" Peters was born in Grosse Point, Michigan.  When he was 14 or 15 years old he moved to Detroit.  He later became a machinist.  When he was laid off from his job he moved to Thompson, Michigan on the Upper Peninsula, and became a lumberjack.  When the company he worked for found out that he was a machinist, needing one, they hired him into a machinist position.  He worked for this company for about 10 years.  He married Virginia (Jennie) Gilmet, daughter of Gaspard Gilmet and Emily Virginia Deloria.  After the birth of their first child, Allyard, they made a trip to Detroit to see his family.  When the mill closed Eddie moved his family to Seattle, Washington.  For many years he was employed for a Steamship company.   [contributed by Jim Hoy]
