Council member of the Pike Place Senior Center and long time resident of the Bell Tower. Memorial services Sunday, 4 p.m., at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 11000 Greenwood Avenue N. Force, retired, 66, died September 28, 1993 in Seattle. Beloved husband of
Jean Peters, Edmonds. Father of Matthew Peters, Brier;
Michael Peters, Incline, Nv. Stepfather of T. R. Runyon, Mt.
Vernon; Bruce M. Runyon, Stockton, Ca. Two grandchildren and six
step-grandchildren. Brother of Susan Shearer, Seattle. He
holds an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army (1947) and graduated from the
Aviation Cadets in 1948. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S.
Air Force in 1958 at the rank of Captain, a very active community member, he was
Past Master of Lawton Lodge #292 F&AM, a member of the Nile Shrine, Nile Temple,
American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, National Sojourners, Elks, and
Moose Lodges. He was a Boeing Engineer for 10 years and worked for Metro
Transit until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Past Masters
of Amalgamated Transit. Visitation Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday,
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral service Sunday, October 3 at 3 p.m. Green
Lake Funeral Home. The family requests memorials to Children's Hospital
and Medical Center.
