Obituary: Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 8 May 1950 - On Sunday, May 7, 1950, at 4:20 o'clock p.m., Eugene Alcide Pitre, husband of the late Josephine Le Fort, father of Mrs. A. Robert, Joseph F. and Ernest T. Pitre, also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brother of Mrs. Daize Cheramie, Mrs. Thomas Esponge, Leonce and Ernest Pitre and the late Louis Pitre and Mrs. Mac Le Fort; aged 78 years 6 months 19 days; a native of Cheniere Caminada, La.; and a resident of 376 Avenue A, Westwego, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also the employees of the North American Trading and Import Company, Pubbicker Alcohol Company, are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place on Monday, May 8, 1950, at 2 o'clock p.m., from the funeral home of William Betz's Sons, 327 Sala avenue.
