Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 8 May 1950 - On Sunday, May 7, 1950, at 4:20 o'clock p.m., Eugene Alcide Pitre, husband of the late Josephine Le Fort, father of Mrs. A. Robert, Joseph F. and Ernest T. Pitre, also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, brother of Mrs. Daize Cheramie, Mrs. Thomas Esponge, Leonce and Ernest Pitre and the late Louis Pitre and Mrs. Mac Le Fort; aged 78 years 6 months 19 days; a native of Cheniere Caminada, La.; and a resident of 376 Avenue A, Westwego, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also the employees of the North American Trading and Import Company, Pubbicker Alcohol Company, are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place on Monday, May 8, 1950, at 2 o'clock p.m., from the funeral home of William Betz's Sons, 327 Sala avenue.  Religious services at our Lady of Prompt Succor church.  Interment in Westwego cemetery.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Sunday, 3 September 1944:  On Friday, September 1, 1944, at 11 o'clock p.m., Josephine Le Fort, wife of Eugene Pitre, mother of Mrs. Augustin Robert, Joseph F., and Ernest Pitre, sister of Mrs. Adrienne Currault, Mrs. J. Barrios and L. Le Fort and the late Joseph Le Fort and Miss Mirza Le Fort; also survived by six grandchildren; aged 73 years 2 months 15 days; a native of Cheniere Camadata, La., and a resident of Westwego, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Publicker Commercial Alcohol Co., of Louisiana are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will take place Sunday, September 3, 1944, at 9:30 o'clock a.m., from the late residence of the deceased, 376 Avenue A, Westwego, La.  Religious services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor church at 10 o'clock mass.  Interment in Westwego cemetery.  Wm. Betz and Sons in charge.
