Obituary:  Times Picayune, 8 August 1968:  Of Westwego, La., on Wednesday, August 7, 1968, at 4:15 o'clock a.m., Ernest Bartholomew Pitre, age 56 years, beloved husband of Mabel M. Roux; father of Mrs. Raymond J. Barrios, Airman 1st Class Richard F. Pitre and Miss Dale E. Pitre; brother of Joseph F. Pitre, Mrs. A. Robert; son of the late Josephine LeForte and Eugene Pitre, also survived by three grandchildren.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of North American Trading and Import Company, Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company and Avondale Shipyards, are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Westside Funeral Homes Company, 5101 West Bank Expressway, Marrero, La., on Thursday, August 8, 1968, at 10 o'clock a.m.  Requiem Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego.  Interment in Garden of Memories.  Friends may call after 7 o'clock p.m. today.

Obituary:  Times Picayune, Friday, 22 April 2005:  Mabel Roux Pitre on Wednesday, April 20, 2005.  Beloved wife of the late Ernest B. Pitre.  Mother of Doris Barrios, Dale Matherne and Richard F. Pitre.  Daughter of the late Alice Zeringue Roux and Guillume Roux.  Sister of Louise Wingfield, the late Joseph Roux, William "Gump" Roux, Edward " B.B." Roux, Carrie Bergeron, Duncan Roux, Ned Roux, Irma Ford, Clara Jackson and Arthur Roux.  Grandmother of Todd Barrios, Suzanne Punch, Lisa Barrios, Raymond Barrios, Jr., Karen O'Brien, Elizabeth Prince, Joy Salter, Ricky Pitre, Steve Matherne, Elena Panepinto and the late Connie Pitre.  Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.  Age 93 years.  A native of South Kenner, LA and a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Mothe Funeral Home, Inc., 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 1:30 PM.  Interment Garden of Memories.  Parlors will be open Saturday at 9:00 AM.
