Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 17 December 1952 - At the residence at Cut Off, La., on Tuesday, December 16, 1952, at 4 o'clock a.m., Constant Pitre, beloved husband of Amy Lorraine and father of Orleans Pitre, Mrs. Alces Pitre, Mrs. Harris J. Pierce, and Mrs. Gipson Guidry, survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; age 68 years; a native and a resident of Cut Off, La.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the Falgout Funeral Home, Galiano, La., on Wednesday, December 17, 1952, at 9 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Cut Off, La.  Interment in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Home, Galiano, La., in charge.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 12 October 1964 - At the residence, Cut Off, La., on Sunday, October 11, 1964, at 7:30 o'clock a.m., Amy Lorraine, beloved wife of the late Constant Pitre, mother of Orleans Pitre, Mrs. Alces Pitre, Mrs. Harris J. Pierce and Mrs. Gibson Guidry, and sister of William and Joseph Lorraine and Mrs. Raymond Terrebonne.  Survived by eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Age 78 years.  A native and a resident of Cut Off, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of the K.C.'s and Holy Name and Columbian Squire of Cut Off, La., are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., on Monday, Oct. 12, 1964, at 11 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, La.  Interment Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., in charge.

Josephine A. Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  Josephine A. Pitre, 96, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 20, 2003.  Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Constant "Bill" and Earline Terrebonne Pitre; grandchildren, Laura Wagner, Clara McDonald, Billy Pitre, Celeste Molaison and Danny Pitre; seven great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchild, Derin Doucet.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alces Pitre; parents, Constant and Amy Lorraine Pitre; brother, Orleans A. Pitre; and sisters, Marceline L. Guidry and Alice P. Pierce.

 

Alice Marie Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Alice Pitre Pierce, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 (1995).  Burial was in the church cemetery.  She was the mother of Kernest Anthony Pierce and Amy Pierce Chiasson; sister of Orleans A. and Josephine P. Pitre.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris J. Pierce; parents Constant and Amy Lorraine Pitre and a sister, Marceline Lefort Guidry.  She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, and a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, K.C. Auxiliary and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.

Orleans Antoine Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 20 November 2000:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Orleans "O.A." Pitre, 83, a native of Cut Off and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 8:27 a.m. Nov. 19, 2000.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.  Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off.  He was the husband of Louella Picciola Pitre; father of Michael, Patrick and Peter Pitre; and brother of Josephine P. Pitre.  He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Constant and Amy Lorraine Pitre; grandchild, Russ Pitre; and sisters, Alice P. Pierce and Marceline L. Guidry.  He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.  He was a veteran of World War II.  He was a member of K.C. Council No. 9000, American Legion Post No. 259, La. and Lafourche Retired Teachers Association and Rotary Club of Golden Meadow, with 37 years perfect attendance.  He was a retired assistant superintendent of schools for Lafourche Parish.  Donations to Lafourche Parish Heart Association are preferred.  Samart Funeral Home and Crematorium of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
