Obituary:  Providence Journal (RI), Tuesday, 14 May 1991:  Bennett L. Peters Retired realtor was developer of many R.I. resort, home areas - Bennett L. Peters, 88, of Woodsia Road, a realtor from 1938 until retiring in 1970, died Sunday at South County Hospital, Wakefield.  He was the husband of the late Louise (Cormier) Peters.  Born on Prince Edward Island, Canada, a son of the late Bruno and Mary C. (Chaisson) Peters, he had been a resident of Providence before moving to Narragansett in 1952.  Mr. Peters was one of the developers of Pettaquamscutt Lake Shores, Bonnet Shores, Indian Lake Shores, Mettatuxet, Forest Lakes and Edgewater, and was a realtor at Briggs Farms.  He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church.  He was a member and founder of the South Kingstown Lodge 1899 B.P.O.E., and was a former member of the Narragansett Planning Board during the 1950s.  He leaves a son, Melvin J. Peters of Riverside; three daughters, Virginia Emmrick of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joan Morgan of Providence and Helen Souza of Narragansett; two brothers, Fred Peters of Prince Edward Island and Frank Peters of Long Island, N.Y.; two sisters, Leona Hould of Sudbury, Ontario and Kate Doucette of Prince Edward Island; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Forbes Funeral Home, Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Moore Church, Narragansett, at 10.  Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale.

Peters, of Bridgewater, MA., dear mother-in-law of Joseph Emmrich, also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Sunday, November 8, 1987.  Visitation Wednesday, November 11 from 4 to 6:30 P.M. at the John J. Radel Co. Price Hill Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Church at 7 P.M.

Obituary:  The Evening Bulletin (Providence, RI), Wednesday, 7 January 1981:  Narragansett - Mrs. Louise Peters, 67, of 88 Woodsia Rd., died yesterday at South County Hospital.  She was the wife of Bennett L. Peters.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Hughes) Cormier.  She had been a resident of Narragansett 30 years.  Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Joan Morgan of Providence and Mrs. Helen Souza of Narragansett; a brother, Francis Cormier of Warwick; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Gannon and Mrs. Dorothy Wall, both of Providence; and 10 grandchildren.  The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home, South Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Moore Church, Narragansett.  Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Kingstown.

Peters, 80, of Carousel Drive, a retired salesman, died Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.  He was the husband of Muriel M. (Adams) Peters.  Born in Providence, a son of the late Bennett L. and Hazel (Fowkes) Peters, he had lived in East Providence for 15 years.  Mr. Peters had been a salesman at the R. B. Cocran Plumbing & Heating Co., in Hyannis, Mass., for several years before retiring.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.  Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Raymond Peters of Cranston, Steven Peters of Las Vegas, Nev., and Paul Peters of Boston, and a sister, Virginia Emerich of Cincinnati.  The funeral will be private.

Emmrich.  Loving mother of Joe (Cheryl Minniear), Bob, Tim (Brenda), Nancy and Dave Emmrich, Judy (Mike) Flynn.  Beloved grandmother of Jill, Kevin, Kim, Colette, Haley and Andy.  Great-grandmother of Allie, Alex, Adam, Natalie, Conner, Clare and Scott.  Cherished aunt of Marcia Ezrow and Mark Radel, March 13, 2008.  Age 82 years.  Visitation will be held Sunday March 16th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Radel Funeral Home.  Mass of Chrictian Burial will be Monday March 17th 10:30 A.M. at St. Lawrence Church.  If so desired memorials may be made to St. Lawrence Education Fund or Elder Alumni.
