Notes for Veronique Doiron:

Obituary:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Tuesday, 3 January 1939:  In Memoriam - Mrs. Veronica Peters - The death occurred in this city early Friday morning, December 30th, of Mrs. Veronica Peters, widow of the late Andrew Peters of Hope River who predeceased her a number of years ago.  Mrs. Peters passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Blacquere with whom she had been living for some time.  Deceased was in her sixty-ninth year; she was a truly christian woman who by her spirit of charity and self-sacrifice and by her kind and friendly disposition won the esteem and respect of all those with whom she came in contact during her life.  Besides a wide circle of friends who will be deeply grieved at the passing of a true and devoted friend, she leaves to mourn and cherish her memory one son, Jeremiah Peters of Mayfield and her daughter above mentioned.  She was the daughter of the late Peter Doiron of Mayfield and is survived also by one brother, Moses P. Doiron of this city.  During her last illness she was visited frequently by her Pastor, Rev. Louis Dougan who administered the last rites of the Church to her previous to her death.  The funeral which was largely attended, was held yesterday morning from her late residence on Queen Street to St. Dunstan's Basilica.  Rev. Father MacCormack conducted funeral services at the Church and Rev. Father Keefe officiated at the grave.  The Pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased:  Frank E. Doiron, Leo H. Doiron, Anthony Doiron, Cyril Doiron, Wilfred Doiron, and Emile Doiron.  (May her soul rest in peace.)
