Obituary:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Saturday, 26 January 1952:  Lake Charles - Services were held Saturday morning at Fenton Catholic church with burial at LeBleu cemetery directed by Hixson funeral home for Asa Pitre, 66, of Fenton.  His wife; son, J.W. Pitre of Lake Charles; two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Lovina Marcantel of Fenton and Mrs. Sarah Langley of Elton survive.

- 16 December 1904:  A marriage license was issued last week to Asa Pitre, of Welsh, and Mrs. Lastie Augustine, of near Kinder.  The wedding will take place Monday at the home of Arsene LeBlue.

Obituary:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Wednesday, 14 May 1958:  Lake Charles - Final rites for Mrs. Asa Pitre, 71, are planned at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fenton Catholic Church with burial in the LeBleu Cemetery in Fenton directed by Hixson Funeral Home.  Mrs. Pitre, a native of Fenton, lived in Lake Charles six months.  She died Tuesday at the home of her son, Jasper W. Pitre, 3808 Auburn St.  Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. Bridget Peloquin of Fenton, one brother, T.S. Savant of Fenton, and one granddaughter.
