Obituary: Southwest Daily News (Sulphur, LA), Sunday, 15 May 1994: Lake Charles - Funeral services for Bessie Mae Pitre, 87, of Lake Charles will be private. The Rev. Tim Goodley will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 6 p.m. She died Thursday, May 12, 1994 in a local care center. She was a native of Jeff Davis Parish, lived in Lake Charles since 1942. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Carole Joy Spano of Naples, Fla.; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
