Obituaries for the children:

Elodie Pitre:  The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Saturday, 29 November 1947:  The death occurred today of Mrs. Joseph Menard, the former Elosie Pitre, of Rockland, at the residence of her son, Dolphis Menard, 461 Sussex street, following a lengthy illness.  She was in her 78th year.  Born at Bourget, in 1870, a daughter of the late Adolphe Pitre and his wife, the former Euphrosine Longtin, she had been a resident of Rockland for the past 70 years.  She was married at Rockland 59 years ago to Joseph Menard, who predeceased her 11 years ago.  A member of St. Trinity church, Mrs. Menard was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne and the Third Order of St. Francis.  Surviving are three sons, Dolphis of Ottawa, Eugene of Timmins and Rene of Hull; one adopted daughter, Mrs. Lucien St. Denis (Jeanette) of Rockland; four brothers, Dolphis of Rockland, Dominateur of Timmins, Albenie of Ottawa and Ernest of Three Rivers, Que.; two sisters, Mrs. Octave Frappin of Timmins and Mrs. Arthur Fairfield of Belcourt, Que.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be held Monday from the Gauthier funeral parlors, 259 St. Patrick street to St. Trinity church for service at 9 a.m.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Dominateur Pitre:  North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Friday, 19 April 1963:  A resident of North Bay since 1958, Dominateur Pitre, 890 Fraser St., died Thursday in hospital following a brief illness.  He was 90 years of age.  Friends may pay their respects at the Guenette Funeral Home, Timmins.  Requiem High Mass will be offered Saturday morning at St. Anthony's Cathedral, and interment will take place at Timmins.  Born at Clarence Creek, Ont., May 4, 1873, Mr. Pitre was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adolphe Pitre.  He was married at Clarence Creek in 1895 to the former Rose Delima Clairmont.  He was predeceased by his wife.  Mr. Pitre had been a resident of Timmins since 1920.  He came to North Bay in June, 1958.  He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Alberta Grandbois, and Mrs. V. P. Hughes (Fernande), North Bay; Mrs. Jim Torbett (Beatrice), California, and Mrs. E. J. Grandbois (Aline), Rimouski, Que.  Also surviving are a brother, Ernest Pitre, Trois Rivieres, and a sister, Mrs. A. Fairfield (Claudia), Senneterre, Que.

 

Joseph Napoleon Pitre:  Walla Walla Union Bulletin (WA), Friday, 5 September 1952 - Spokane: An elderly man who was rescued from his burning home Thursday night died Friday morning from burns he suffered.  Police Officer Richard Tilton discovered the fire and pulled the victim, N. Paul Pitre, from the flames that filled his two-room house.

Joseph Albini Pitre:  The Ottawa Citizen (ONT), Monday, 1 November 1948:  Albini Pitre, 73 Clarence street, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.  A native of Rockland, he was formerly employed by W.C. Edwards and Company, of that village, and had lived in Ottawa for the past 20 years.  He attended the Basilica and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Union St. Joseph.  In 1910 he married the former Eva Portelance, who predeceased him in 1924.  He married the former Helene St. Denis in 1928.  She died in 1941.  Surviving are two sons, Lucien, Ottawa; Palma, Hull; two brothers, Dominateur, Timmins; Ernest, Three Rivers; one sister, Mrs. Eleonore Frappier, Timmins; three stepsons, Omer Auger, Montreal, and Gustave and Jean Auger, Hull.  The funeral cortege will leave the Gauthier funeral home, 259 St. Patrick street, Wednesday at 9 a.m. for Holy Trinity church, Rockland, where requiem high mass will be sung at 10 o'clock.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

- The Ottawa Journal (ONT):  Pitre, Albini - On Sunday, October 31, 1948, in hospital, Albini Pitre, beloved husband of the late Eva Portelance and the late Helene St. Denis, age 66 years.  Funeral Wednesday from Gauthier's, 259 St. Patrick St., for requiem mass at Holy Trinity Church, Rockland, Ont., at 10 a.m.  Interment parish cemetery.
