Obituary:  Houma Daily Courier (LA), Sunday, 31 December 1972:  Clara Pitre Expires in Nursing Home:  Mrs. Clara Pitre, 89, died Friday, December 29 at Saco Nursing Home.  Services are set for 2 p.m. this afternoon in St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with interment in St. Francis No. 1 cemetery.   She is survived by two sons, Evans and Virges Pitre; and five sisters, Mrs. Eddie Babin, Mrs. Ismay Duplantis, Mrs. Vivian Bourgeois, Mrs. Bernard LeBoeuf, and Mrs. Lea Pitre.   She is survived by 38 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Preceding her in death were two brothers, the late Harris and Eustis Pitre, and her husband, the late Augustine Pitre.  First National Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jeanne Vernice Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA):  Vernice Jeanne Pitre Babin, 93, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Houma, died at 1:59 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997.  Visitation was scheduled from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Mass was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.  She is survived by one son, Eddie Babin Jr. of Houma; one sister, Mrs. Bernard (Pearl) LeBouef of Houma; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Joseph Babin Sr.; her parents, Augustin and Clair Thibodeaux Pitre; one son, Rudolph Babin; four brothers, Harris, Evans, Eustice and Virgus Pitre; and three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Vivian) Bourgeois, Mrs. Flandris (Leah) Pitre and Mrs. Clyde (Ismay) Duplantis.  She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church.

Virgis Joseph Pitre:  St Mary and Franklin Banner Tribune (LA), Thursday, 10 May 1979:   Virgis Joseph Pitre, 63, died yesterday at 4 p.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a brief illness.  He was a resident of Franklin and a native of Bayou Blue.  The deceased was a foreman in the sugar industry.  Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ibert's Funeral Home.  Services will be at the Church of the Assumption with interment in the Franklin Cemetery.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Hattie Boudreaux Pitre.  He is survived by three daughters Mrs. Dolores Simoneaux of Baker, Mrs. Loretta Swafford of Franklin, Mrs. Bonnie Gauthier of Brittany, La.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pearl Marie Pitre:  August 27, 1917 - January 25, 2020.  Pearl Marie Pitre LeBoeuf, age 102, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 7:35 p.m.  She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral on Monday, February 3, 2020 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in St. Francis de Sales #1 Cemetery.  Pearl is survived by her son, Bernard T. LeBoeuf and wife, Sue; son-in-law, Daniel T. Sullivan; grandchildren, Mark S. Billiu. Lauren B. Duplantis, Amy E. Billiu, Thomas LeBoeuf, Ryan LeBoeuf, Corey Sullivan; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Clay Pitre; parents, Augustin Adam and Claire Helene Thibodeaux Pitre; daughters, Claire LeBoeuf Billiu and Christine Ann Sullivan; brothers, Harris E. Pitre and wife, Leona, Evans Pitre and wife, Mary, Eustice J. Pitre and wife, Rose, Virgis J. Pitre and wife, Hattie; sisters, Jeanne Vernice Babin and husband, Eddie, Ismay Duplantis and husband, Clyde, Vivian Bourgeois and husband, Louis, and Leah Pitre and husband, Flandris.  enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.  The door was always open, the coffee pot was always full and you never left hungry.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She will be missed by all whose hearts she touched.  Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the LeBoeuf family.

 

Leah Marie Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 25 March 1982:  Mrs. Leah P. Pitre, 61, a native and resident of Houma, died 11:50 p.m. Wednesday (24th).  She was a supervisor in Central Supply for Terrebonne General Hospital.  Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. today at the Chauvin Funeral Home.  The funeral is tentatively scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in the Holy Rosary cemetery.  Survivors include two sons, Flandis P. Pitre, of New Orleans and Jerome Pitre, of Houma; four daughters, Mrs. Noel (Suzzannie) Smith, of Fort Sheridan, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Bourg, of Houma, Mrs. Kim (Brenda) Smith, of Houma, and Mrs. Dwayne (Mylisse) Chauvin of Houma; one brother, Evans Pitre, of Houma; three sisters, Mrs. Eddie (Vernice) Babin, of Houma, Mrs. Clyde (Ismay) Duplantis, of Houma and Mrs. Bernard (Pearl) LeBoeuf, of Houma, and ten grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Flandis J. Pitre; her parents, Augustin Pitre and Clara Thibodaux Pitre; three brothers, Harris, Eustice and Virgust Pitre; and one sister, Mrs. Louis (Vivian) Bourgeois.  Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
