Said administrator is chargeable with the following items and amounts to wit: 1864 To cash received by Administrator and on hand at the date of death of intestate $150.00.

1865 January - To cash received from sale of personal property, sold by administrator per order of the court - $48.25

To the Honorable James W. Smith, Judge of the County Court of Travis County, Texas:  James Pugh, Administrator of the Estate of Nancy J. Pugh, deceased, submit this final exhibit and account for the settlement of said estate and says said account is a correct statement of his true actions in settling said Estate. He further says that owing to the late war and the unsettled condition of the country when the principal part of his transactions took place, he has not been able to present strictly legal vouchers for some of the claims paid by him. In all instances where James Pugh has paid out money without a claim duly allowed and approved having been presented, he knew of his own personal knowledge of the justness and correctness of the claim so paid.  The administrator further states that he reported the negro as having been sold and that there was an order of transfer confirming said sale, but that although said sale was made as reported by him, yet that the surety offered by the purchaser of said negro not being entirely satisfactory, the administrator said negro was never delivered to purchaser, but on the contrary, the purchaser cancelled said sale.
