- Jean remembers: Ronald was pushed into the water as a child, so hated the water after that. But Norman was a strong swimmer. Margaret Chittenden played violin and was invited to play at parties. Husband Alfred played the piano. Margaret picked up one of her brother-in-law's pistols and accidently shot Alfred in the ankle. Alfred couldn't get into the army after that. Alfred was a printer of coloured serviettes and had a big printing machine in the kitchen. He once fell off Waterloo Bridge into the Thames.
