Misc: Port Arthur News (TX), 14 December 1922: Find 'Lost Boys - Reported to the police today as being lost in the territory back of the Texas company since 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Wesley Pitre, 10-year-old son of Simon Pitre, 834 East Nineteenth Street, and his 12-year-old companion, a boy named Kibbe, walked into Pitre's home shortly before noon today, none the worse for having been out all night, Pitre later told the police.
Obituary: The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Sunday, 31 October 1993: Oberlin - Services for Wesley Pitre will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Ardoin's with the Rev. Albert Wayne Borel officiating. Burial will be in Green Oak Cemetery. Pitre, 82, of Oberlin died at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 1993, in Oakdale Community Hospital, Oakdale. He was a retired painter and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and Painters Local No. 783. Survivors include his wife, Pearl L. Pitre of Oberlin; three sons, Morris J. Pitre of Oberlin, Charles Edward Pitre of Topsy and Robert Wayne Pitre of Lake Charles; two daughters, Donnel Muller of Boyce and Gerdie Pitre of Oberlin; one brother, Hardy Pitre of Indian Village; one sister, Pearl Fontenot of DeQuincy; 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today and until time of services Monday in the funeral home.
