ObituaryLafourche Daily Comet (LA), May 1994:  A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Luling for Warren J. Pitre Sr., 72, a native of Raceland and resident of Luling, who died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, May 26.  Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.  He was the husband of Josephine Dempster Pitre of Luling; father of Warren J. Pitre Jr. of Westwego, Joseph P. Pitre of Catawissa, Mo., Peggy Friloux of Paradis and Mary Ann Fremen of Luling; brother of Russell Meyers, Dorothy Mae Daigle and Barbara Ann Bourgeois.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Blanche Gaudet Pitre; and three brothers, Curren and Thomas Pitre II and Larry Meyers.  He was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He was also a member of VFW Post No. 3750 of Luling and Plumbers & Steamfitters Local No. 60.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.
