Obituaries for the children:

Mary Francis Peters:  Clare Sentinel (Clare, MI), Friday, 24 March 1922:  Child Takes Medicine Dies Soon After:  Four Year Old Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peters Meets Untimely Death Sunday, Parents Grief-Strickened:  Last Sunday afternoon at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peters, of Wheaton Ave., occurred a very sad accident when their four-year old daughter, Mary Francis, died from the effects of medicine tablets which she had placed in her mouth.  The mother noticed the child having something in her mouth and upon investigation found four tablets partly dissolved which she took from her.  Thinking that they were medicine of a mild nature which was had in the house nothing was thought of it until the father upon leaving the house kissed her good-bye.  The child then complained that 'she could not make her feet go' and within an instant fell to the floor and died soon thereafter.  Further investigation proved that she had gotten another medicine of the same color and which contained deadly poison.  The funeral was held from the St. Cecilia Church Tuesday morning Rev. Fr. Flanagan officiating and the little one laid to rest in the church cemetery.  The grief strickened parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of greatest sorrow.
