Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet, 24 February  1987:  Funeral services were held today for Winnifred Joseph Pitre, 76, a native of Leeville and resident of Galliano, who died Tuesday at 2:55 p.m.  He was the father of Mrs. Curtis (Sylvia) Evans; brother of William Pitre, Mrs. Edia Ougel and Mrs. Rena Ougel.  He is also survived by five grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice T. Pitre; parents, Mr. And Mrs. Gracien Pitre; son, Albert "Pipet" Pitre; and brother, Volise Pitre.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Galliano was in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet, 24 October 1983:  Funeral services have been scheduled Tuesday, time pending, at Falgout Funeral Horne, Galliano, for Clarice Torres Pitre, 66, a native of Bayou Boeuf and resident of Galliano, who died at 2:20 a.m. Monday.  Religious, services have been scheduled, time pending, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano, with interment in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to midnight today and from 7 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday.  She was the wife of Winnifred J. Pitre; mother of Sylvia Evans and the late Albert Pitre; sister of Woodrow Torres; daughter of the late Albert Torres and Mathilda Blanchard.  She is survived by five grand-children.  Arrangements by Falgout.

Sylvia Ann Pitre:  Lafourche Comet:  Sylvia Pitre Evans, 61, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, died at 8:55 p.m. April 13, 2004.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano.  She is survived by her husband, Curtis Evans; son, Carroll Evans; daughter, Evelyn Evans; and one grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Winnifred and Clarice Torres Pitre; and brother, Albert Pitre.
 

Albert Joseph Pitre:  Houma Courier, Sunday, 7 September 1980:  Albert J. (Pepit) Pitre, 33, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Larose, LA, died 2:30 p.m. Friday in Golden Meadow, La.  Visitation began yesterday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La., and will continue until funeral time.  The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Monday from the funeral home, with religious services following 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, Paulette Meyeur Pitre; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Winnifred Pitre; one son, Chad Pitre; three daughters, Angie, Cher and Tice Pitre; and one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Evans.  Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano is handling arrangements.
