Victor Howard Pitre:  Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Fort Worth, TX), Wednesday, 18 January 2006: (photo) Arlington - Victor Howard Pitre, 78, a retired electronic medical technician, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, in Arlington.  Memorial Mass: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Arlington.  Memorial gifts may be made to Vitas Hospice In-patient Unit, Fort Worth; or St. Andrews School Tuition Assistance Fund.  Victor was born Dec. 15, 1927, to Wilfred and Bertha Pitre in Bronx, N.Y.  He served in the U.S. Navy.  Victor was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.  He had been very active at his previous church and was in the church choir, a eucharistic minister and an RCIA sponsor.  He also enjoyed building engines and computers, train steam engines and oil painting.  Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, who passed away May 11, 2005.  He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Survivors: Son, James Schuttinger and wife, Brenda, of Ohio; daughters, Mary C. Gravel and husband, Richard, of Arlington and Barbara Sproge and husband, Kenneth, of New Jersey; beloved niece, Kathy Scordo and family of Connecticut; grandchildren, Patrice Hall and husband, Wesley, Kevin Sproge and wife, Melissa Sproge, Michael Sproge and wife, Carla, and Craig and Mark Schuttinger; and four great-grandchildren.

Austin W. Pitre:  The Tampa Tribune (Tampa, FL), Friday, 10 December 2010:  Pitre, Austin W., 78, of Plant City, Fla., died December 7, 2010.  He is survived by loving friend, Wanda Garrett; daughters, Denise Lorenzo and Debbie Knopf; and three grandchildren.  Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Haught Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior.
