MISC:  North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Friday, 27 March 1942:  The funeral of Ephrem Therien was held in Mattawa on 26 March.  His daughter, of Timmins, attended along with her husband Walter Lajambe, Ephrem's son-in-law, who was a pallbearer.

 

Obituary:  The Hamilton Spectator (Hamilton, ONT), Friday, 21 June 1946:  Le Jambe - At the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, June 21, 1946, Walter LeJambe, beloved husband of Marie Anne Teherrien, late of 531 Gage Ave., N., in his 52nd year.  Remains resting in drawing room of Brown Bros. Funeral Home.  Requiem mass at St. Ann's Church on Monday morning at 9 a.m.  Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Obituary:  The Hamilton Spectator (Hamilton, ONT), Friday, 19 October 1990:  Bryer, Marie Anne (Lejambe) - At Macassa Lodge on Thursday, Ictober 18, 1990, in her 89th year, Marie Bryer, dear mother of Walter and his wife Irene of Timmins, Antoinette Adams, Theresa (Mrs. Clem Cavanaugh), Gilbert, Estelle (Mrs. Jim Ferguson) and Roland and his wife Rose, all of Hamilton.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  Sister of Emelda Rimes and Edward Therrien of Mattawa.  The family will receive friends at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, Mount Hamilton Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral Mass on Monday at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. (leaving the Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m.).  Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Recitation of the Rosary on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Theresa Lejambe:  The Hamilton Spectator (Hamilton, ONT), Saturday, 21 April 2018:  (photo) Cavanaugh, Theresa (nee Le Jambe)  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished wife, mother and sister, Theresa, at Macassa Lodge on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in her 91st year.  Predeceased by her first husband Ernest Malcolm Harkin (1951).  Devoted wife of 55 years to Clem.  Cherished and deeply loved mother to Pat (late David) Clark and Ernie (Aileen) Harkin.  Loving sister to Roland (Rose).  Predeceased by siblings Antoinette, Gilbert and Estelle.  Theresa was the proud and deeply loved nanny to Cameron (Liz), Mark (Sheri) and Michelle (Todd) and great-grandmother to Leah, Simon, Mikayla, Cole, Joshua and Heather.  Mom always said that the best part about having children was the grandchildren.  Adored Aunt to Roland (Kim), Rusty (Lisa), Remie (Nancy), Gina (Darrell) and Linda (Peter).  Special thanks to the staff at Macassa Lodge C2 East, especially Arlene and Dianne, for the loving and compassionate care that they provided to Theresa.  Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, Hamilton, on Tuesday, April 24 from 2-5 p.m.  Prayers at 3 p.m.  Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 25 at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Saints Peter and Paul Parish would be appreciated by the family.

 

Marie Estelle Lajambe:  The Hamilton Spectator (Hamilton, ONT), Saturday, 10 February 2018:  Ferguson, Marie 'Estelle' (nee La Jambe)  Peacefully on February 7, 2018 at the Hamilton General Hospital, Estelle Ferguson died in her 90th year.  Beloved wife of the late James Ferguson.  Predeceased by her sister Antoinette, brother Gilbert, sister-in-law Mary Catherine Kowal and brother-in-law Maurice.  Loving sister of Theresa (Clem) and Roland (Rose).  Beloved 'second mother' and aunt of Pat and Ernie, and beloved aunt of many other nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held at P. X. Dermody Funeral Home, on Sunday, February 11th from 2-5 p.m.  Prayers will be said on Sunday at 3 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish on Tuesday, February 13th at 10 a.m.  Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Sts. Roland Lejambe:  The Hamilton Spectator (Hamilton, ONT), Saturday, 12 February 2022:  Lejambe, Roland 'Red' (photo) - With sadness our family announces the unexpected passing of cherished husband and father Roland in his 89th year.  He leaves behind the 'Love of his Life', his dear wife Rosemary.  Amazing dad to their 4 children; Roland Jr (Kim), Russell (Lisa), Raymond (Nancy), and Gina (Darrell).  Cherished Nonno to his 7 grandchildren: Christopher, Steven, Mariah, Cole, Daniel, Keira, and Cade.  Born in Timmins, Ontario on August 18, 1933 to Walter and Marie.  Predeceased by his siblings: Walter Jr., Toni, Pete, Terry, and Estelle.  At a young age, after the loss of his father, Marie moved the family to Hamilton.  They resided in the Brightside neighbourhood where they formed lifelong friendships.  In order to help support his mother and sisters, Roland 'Red' began a lifetime career at Stelco.  Roland and Rose met in 1953 and were soon married in June 1955.  They built their life together in the Buchanan Park area in Hamilton and raised their family on Algoma Cres. for the next 35 years.  Upon their retirement, they left Hamilton and moved north, where they started their second life together.  For 32 years they have been loved and admired by the Town of Mattawa.  He was a man of strong faith who was constantly involved in many aspects of the parish and the community.  Roland was an avid reader, a lover of trains, and had several projects underway which were always near completion.  He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.  "No matter where you go, you will always be in our hearts".  A private funeral mass will be held at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Parish, Hamilton.  If so desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
