Obituary: Morning Sentinel (Waterville, ME), Monday, 14 November 1977: Middletown, Conn. - William D. Peters, 59, of 738 Saybrook Road, husband of Eudora Brewer Peters, died Sunday morning at a Middletown hospital after a long illness. He was born in Skowhegan, Maine, son of the late Patrick and Adeline Goulette Peters, and had resided in Middletown 19 years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Elks Lodge and Club Voewarth. He was the former owner of Howard's Service Station in Middletown. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie DeGray of Windsor, Conn., and Mrs. Joan Lavery of Manchester, Conn.; a brother, Francis Peters of Waterville, Maine; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Guarino of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and Mrs. Thelma Vigue of Skowhegan, Maine, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, Middletown, and at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield, Conn. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
