MISC:  The Spokesman Review (WA), Tuesday, 19 October 1926:  Yakima, Wash., Oct. 16 - Ivan B. Piland, 20, was killed this forenoon when the automobile he was riding in ran into a truck loaded with lumber.  Piland and Virgil Lajambe were driving on the Fort Simcoe road, a half-mile out of Toppenish.  A protruding timber pinned Piland to his seat.  He lived for nearly an hour.

Obituary:  Yakima Herald-Republic (WA), Wednesday, 2 August 2006:  Federal Way - Louria "Lori" Lynch, 97, a longtime resident of Yakima, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006 in Federal Way, WA.  Lori was born in Moxee, WA on January 8, 1907 to Daniel and Annie (Riel) Houle.  She married Dr. E. Donald Lynch in Yakima in 1975 where they made their home until moving to the Federal Way area a few years ago to be near their daughters and families.  For many years, Lori enjoyed working at the Bon Marche in Yakima.  She is lovingly survived by her husband, Dr. E. Donald Lynch of Federal Way, WA, three step-daughters: Valerie Lynch and Putman Barber of Seattle; Daphne and Allen Emerson of Graham, WA; Teresa Lynch-Smith and Larry Smith of Federal Way; two sisters, Peggy Totten of Centralia and Patty Kvidera of Burien; a step-grandson David Emerson and numerous nieces and nephews.  Recitation of the Rosary and Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 4, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.  Private inurnment will be in Tahoma Cemetery.  Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
