Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 12 August 1970:  Vallery J. Pitre Sr., on Tuesday, August 11, 1970 at 2:30 o'clock a.m., husband of the late Thelma K. Bonck, father of Mrs. Shirley Mae Gillory, Carroll A., Vallery J. Jr., and Marvin Pitre; brother of the late Adam Pitre, Eva Falgout and Annie Muscarello, son of the late Valeri Pontiff and Harris Pitre, also survived by 1 grandchild, age 65 years, a native of Berwick, La., and a resident of this city for the past 45 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Times-Picayune Publishing Corp., Electric Delivery Service, Southern Memorial Co., Pontchartrain Motor Co. and Liberty Bell Cab Co., are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Lamana-Panno-Fallo Inc., 625 N. Wright Jr., age 51 years.  A native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Electric Delivery System, Times Picayune States Item and National Tugs, Inc., Toups Marine and Transport are invited to attend the funeral.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Inc., 3827 Canal St. at North Scott on Wednesday, January 13, 1982 at 1:15 o'clock p.m.  Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.  A parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Marrero, La.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Marvin Raymond Pitre:  Death Notice:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 19 February 1992:  A New Orleans man was killed Tuesday when the automobile he was driving rear-ended an 18-wheeler in St. Charles Parish, State Police said.  Marvin Pitre, 52, of 4831 Sherwood Drive, was driving a Ford Probe east on Interstate 10 over the Bonnet Carre spillway shortly before 7 p.m., Trooper Al Majeau said.  The tractor-trailer was also in motion, heading east, police.
