'Bud' Peters, 87, a resident of Algonac for 16 years and a previous resident of Fair Haven, died Sunday, May 12, 2002, in St. John River District Hospital, East China Township. He was born May 22, 1914, in Detroit. He married Laura Peters (nee Riddell) on Feb. 17, 1968, in Warren. He retired in 1969 as a repairman for Inter City TV Repair. He was a member of Amvets and Fair Haven Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Laura 'Jean' Peters of Algonac; children, Loretta Dasovich of Algonac, Patricia (John) Mattice of Mio, Rocky (Patti) Golden of Fair Haven, and Michael (Cheri) Golden of Sterling Heights; siblings, Alma Merrilli of Clinton Township, June Hoffman of Joliet, Tenn., and Donald (Dollie) Peters of Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Peters. Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in Gendernalik Funeral Home Inc., New Baltimore. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Anchorville. The Rev. David Burgard will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

There will be no visitation. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL.
