Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Friday, 23 October 1936:  Georginna T. Petrie - Bar Harbor, Oct. 22 - Mrs. Georginna Turcotte Petrie, 73, widow of Theodore Petrie, died this morning at her home on Greeley avenue where she had lived for the past eleven years.  She was born in Orono, the daughter of Joseph and Harriet Pooler Turcotte.  She leaves her son, Alex J. Petrie and her daughter, Estella Petrie; her grandsons, Theodore and Raymond, all of whom resided here with her.  She also leaves a sister, Mrs. James Dwyer of Orono.  Mrs. Petrie was beloved by all who knew her, a thoughtful neighbor and devoted to her family.  Funeral services for Mrs. Georginna Turcotte Petrie will be in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Saturday morning at nine o'clock with high mass of requiem celebrated by Rev. Edward F. Fitzpatrick, P. R.  Interment will be in Orono.

Stella M. Petrie:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Saturday, 21 February 1987:  Stella (Petrie) Siracusa.  Orono - Stella (Petrie) Siracusa, 98, wife of the late Sam Siracusa, died Feb. 19, 1987, at a Brewer health-care center.  She was born in Orono, March 18, 1888, the daughter of Theodore and Georgiana (Tincotte) Petrie.  She was a life-long resident of Orono and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Orono.  Surviving are two nephews, Raymond and Theodore Petrie, both of Texas; one cousin, Mildred Petrie of Milford.  She will be remembered by a very dear friend, Carolyn Scott of Orono.  Graveside services will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.  Those who wish may contribute in her memory to a charity of their choice.  Arrangements by Brookings-Smith, Orono.

 

Alexander James Petrie:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Monday, 2 May 1960:  Alexander J. Petrie - Orono, May 1 - Alexander (Alec) James Petrie, 68, husband of Claudia Petrie, died Sunday morning in Baltimore, Md.  He was born in Orono January 16, 1892, the son of Theodore and Georgianna (Turcott) Petrie.  A painter and paper hanger by trade, he was formerly employed at Orono, Bar Harbor and Harvard University.  He had resided in Baltimore the past six years.  Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Theodore of New York and Raymond of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Stella Siracusa of Orono; and seven grandchildren.  A High Mass of Requiem will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Orono.  Friends may call at the LaBeau Funeral Home, 9 Pine Street, Orono, Tuesday afternoon and evening.
