Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 8 June 1973:  Sidney Simon Pitre of New Orleans, on Thursday, June 7, 1973, at 7:30 o'clock a.m.; beloved husband of Eunice Savoie Pitre; brother of James Pitre, Mamie Clew and Daisy Pitre; age 64 years; a native of Thibodaux and a resident of this city.  Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the American Legion, Post 125, are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Magazine at Philip on Saturday morning, June 9, 1973, at 11:30 o'clock a.m.; religious services at the Leitz-Eagan parlor.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.  Parlors will be open Friday evening 7 p.m.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 10 July 1991:  Eunice H. Pitre, a homemaker, died Sunday of congestive heart failure at Wynhoven Health Care Center in Marrero.  She was 80.  Mrs. Pitre was born in Des Allemands and lived in Marrero for many years.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews.  A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at West Side Funeral Home, 5101 West Bank Expressway, Marrero.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego.
