Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. Sylvain Peters, Palmer Road, whose death occurred recently at the Western Hospital. His funeral was held on Wednesday morning to the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment was in church cemetery.

Marie Delia Pitre: Evening Express (Portland, ME), Friday, 9 March 1984: Westbrook - Delia M. Sirois, 75, of 20 Water St., died yesterday in a Portland hospital. She was born in St. Louis, Prince Edward Island, Canada, a daughter of Sylvain and Judith Poirier Pitre, and came to Westbrook in 1908. Mrs. Sirois was employed at S. D. Warren Co. for 24 years, and retired in 1975. A communicant of St. Hyacinth's Church, she was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Mary's Prayer Group and the Senior Citizens. Besides her husband, Albert Sirois, she is survived by three sons, Raymond A. of Gardner, Mass., Robert A. of South Portland, and Charles O. of Kezar Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Benoit (Irene) Laverriere of West Haven, Conn., and Mrs. Donald (Theresa) Wildes of Westbrook; four brothers, Joseph Pitre of Nova Scotia, John Pitre of Ontario, Henry Pitre of Saint John, New Brunswick, and Ivan Pitre of Prince Edward Island; eight sisters, Eva Strout of South Portland, Irene McKinnon, Dolores Aube and Helen Krulicki, all of Ontario, Rosetta Doucette, Esther LeClair and Ada Doucette, all of Prince Edward Island, and Ella Fleming of Nova Scotia; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Family prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Blais Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Hyacinth's Church. Spring burial will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.

Joseph Alphonse Pitre: Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Saturday, 5 October 1940: Death of Alphonse Peters. There passed away in the Prince County Hospital on Friday last, Alphonse Peters, of Palmer Road. The deceased was only 23 years of age. The funeral took place on Monday morning from Palmer Road R. C. church.
Mary Eva Peters: Portland Press Herald (Portland, ME), Friday, 5 August 2011: Auburn - Mary E. Strout, 86, previously of Poland, died on Aug. 3, 2011, at Clover Manor. She was born on Feb. 17, 1925, in Prince Edward Island, Canada, the daughter of Sylvan and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Peters. Mary is survived by her sons, Stephen Strout and wife Pam, Ken Strout, daughter Terri Fuller and husband Pete; seven grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters in Canada. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Everett Strout. Burial and services will be private at Elmwood Cemetery in Otisfield.

Husband of Sophie Peters. Loving father of Jean, Joan, Diane and Sandy and her husband Andy. Proud grandfather of Melanie and her husband Richard, Robert, Jessie and Brooke. Great-grandfather of Joshua, Austin, Brianna and Marissa. Dear brother of seven sisters and two brothers. Predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth (nee Arsenault) and Sylvain Peters and also by four brothers and five sisters. John retired from B. F. Goodrich with over 30 years of service. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at St. Aloysius RC Church, Kitchener on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. A second memorial mass will follow at a later date in Prince edward Island. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Born in Palmer Road on October 11, 1932, she was the daughter of late Sylvain J. and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Peters. Rosetta married the love of her life, Melvin Doucette. They were married for 70 years and they had seven kids. Survived by children: JoAnne (Roy), Darlene (Albon), Ritchie, Norman (Michele), Lee (Kathy) and Cory (Nicole). Also survived by sisters, Dolores, Esther, and Ada. Also survived by son-in-law, Roy (Mona) Perry, brother-in-law, Francis Doucette, brother-in-law, Harold Flemming, Judy (Roy) LeClair, Sophie Peters, and many nieces, nephews, and loving family members, near and far.
