Obituary:  Massena Daily Courier Observer, Thursday, 26 March 1992:  Potsdam - Funeral services for Stanley J. Lashomb Sr., 60, of 48 May Road, Potsdam, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Potsdam with the Rev. John Murphy officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.  Calling hours will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.  Mr. Lashomb died 4:20 p.m. Tuesday afternoon (March 24, 1992) at his home.  He is survived by his wife, Katherine; his father, Leon A. Lashomb of Brasher; a son, Stanley J. Jr. of Potsdam; five daughters, Mrs. Steven (Cindy) Guptcill of Potsdam, Mrs. Ted (Debbie) Muller of Edison, N.J., Charmaine L. Lashomb of Pleasanton, Calif., Mary Ellen and Michelle E., both of Potsdam; six brothers, Victor and Clement of Massena, Harvey of Lawrenceville, Hugh of Cherokee, N.C., Earl of Phoenix, Ariz., Clarke of Norfolk; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne, in 1975.  He was born in Massena Sept. 18, 1931, son of Leon and Ethel Fregoe.   He was a graduate of Brasher High School.  He served in the Army in the Korean Conflict.  Following his discharge, he was employed at Alcoa.  He then worked for Foley's Supply as a sales representative and in 1975 he established St. Lawrence Supply in Potsdam, retiring in 1987.  He married the former Katherine Calipari on Aug. 21, 1954, in St. Mary's Church, Massena.  He was very active in St. Mary's Church, Potsdam, on the financial committee.  He was an usher at at the parish.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1194, Potsdam, and he was also a member of the Potsdam Elks Lodge in 2074.

Obituary:  North Country Now (Potsdam, NY), Tuesday, 26 January 2021:  Potsdam - Mrs. Katherine I. LaShomb, age 85, passed away on January 26, 2021 at her residence in the Village of Potsdam while under the care of her family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.  Arrangements for cremation are with the Garner Funeral Service.  Burial will take place in the spring at the Calvary Cemetery in Massena, NY.  Katherine is survived by her son Stanley (Beth Couglin) LaShomb of Potsdam; son-in-law Brian Loveless; daughters Cynthia Gilbert of Potsdam, Debra (Ted) Muller of Metuchen, NJ, Mary (Kerry) Matthews of Spokane, WA and Michele LaShomb of Potsdam; sisters Carmela Gardner of Massena and Chi Chi (John) Garcia of Bloomington, IN, 2 grandchildren Joey LaShomb and Zoe Loveless.  She is predeceased by her husband Stanley LaShomb; a daughter Charmaine Loveless; a brother Sam Calipari and sisters Betty Caldwell, Angie Petra and Mary Brunt and son-in-law Ron Gilbert.  Mrs. Katherine I. LaShomb was born on March 10, 1935 in Massena, NY to the late Vincent Calipari and Aletha Steerney.  She attended Massena Central Schools.  On August 21, 1954 at St. Mary's Church in Massena, NY she was married to Stanley LaShomb.  Katherine worked for the Warner Bra factory in Massena for a years and then she and her husband were the owners and operators of St. Lawrence Supply in Potsdam from 1970 until their retirement in 1987.  Contributions in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer Association: Albany, NY or to the Potsdam Humane Society, Potsdam, NY.

Charmaine L. Lashomb:  Advance-News (Ogdensburg, NY), Sunday, 8 April 2007:  Potsdam - A Mass of Christian Burial for Charmaine L. Loveless, 48, of Hannawa Falls, was held on Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, Potsdam, with Rev. Garry Giroux celebrant.  Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery, Potsdam.  Arrangements were with the Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam.  Mrs. Loveless died March 31, 2007, at her residence.  She is survived by her husband, Brian, Hannawa Falls; a daughter, Zoe Marie Loveless, Hannawa Falls; her mother, Katherine LaShomb, Potsdam; a brother, Stanley LaShomb Jr., Potsdam; four sisters, Mrs. Ron and Cindy Gilbert, Potsdam, Mrs. Ted and Debra Mullen, Metuchen, N.J., Mrs. Kerry and Mary Matthews, Spokane, Wash., and Michelle LaShomb and her companion, Larry Wallace, Potsdam; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father, Stan LaShomb Sr.; and her grandparents, Vincent and Aletha Calipari and Leon and Ethel LaShomb.
