Comet (LA): Lucille Pitre - A Mass of Christian burial was
celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in
Golden Meadow for Lucille Cheramie Pitre, 83, a native of Cut Off and
resident of Galliano who died at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 25, 2001. Burial was at
Cheramie Cemetery. She was the mother of Carol Terrebonne; and
sister of Lorina St. Pierre. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Sidney Pitre; parents, George and Marguerite Vega Cheramie;
and brother, Adam Cheramie. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of
Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in
charge of arrangements.
