Obituary:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Saturday, 3 August 1912:  Funeral on Monday - "Comb" Pitre of Tecumseh died in 90th year on farm where he was born. - Funeral services for the late "Comb" Pitre, one of the pioneers of Essex county, whose death occurred yesterday morning at his home in Tecumseh, will be held Monday morning from St. Anne's church, Tecumseh.  Mr. Pitre was 90 years of age and was born on the farm where he died, his parents being one of the famous old French families which located in this county when it was scarcely more than a wilderness.  His father was Joseph Pitre, of Montreal, who lived to be more than eighty years of age.  Mrs. Pitre died about three years ago.  The members of the family surviving the deceased are Miss Alice Pitre, Joseph and Patrick of Tecumseh and Elois of Walkerville.

Obituary:  Essex Free Press (ONT), Friday, 3 May 1907:  Mrs. Adess Pitre, eighty years of age, passed away Saturday morning at her home in Tecumseh. She is survived by her husband, three sons and one daughter.
 

Obituaries for the children:

Joseph Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Monday, 7 December 1936:  A life-long resident of Tecumseh, Joseph Pitre, 90 years of age, died yesterday at the home of his son, Dolphis, 47 Alphonse street, Tecumseh, yesterday following a short illness.  Mr. Pitre was born at Tecumseh and farmed in that district all his life.  He was an active member of Ste. Anne's Church.  Also surviving are another son, Pierre, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Stanislas Bellaire and Mrs. Ted Forton, of Windsor; Mrs. Alfred Blais, and Mrs. Charles Maitre, of Maidstone, and a sister, Miss Elise Pitre, of Tecumseh.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at the home at 9 o'clock and at Ste. Anne's Church at 9:30.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Clemence Louise 'Elise/Alice' Pitre:  The Windsor Star  (ONT), Wednesday, 12 January 1949:  Miss Elize Pitre, 86, died Tuesday at the home of her nephew, Ralph Pitre, 318 Tecumseh road, Tecumseh.  She had been ill for three days.  She was born in Tecumseh and had lived there all her life.  She was a member of St. Anne's Church and belonged to the St. Anne Society and the Catholic Women's League.  Surviving besides her nephew, are two nieces, Lizzie and Minnie, of Tecumseh.  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the residence to St. Anne's Church, Tecumseh, at 9:30 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery.  There will be prayers at the residence Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 8 o'clock.  Janisse Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
