Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 26 May 1998: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel for Shelby "Nick" Andrew Pitre, 71, a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 5:15 p.m. May 25, 1998. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. He was the husband of Mildred "Millie" Guillot Pitre; father of Shelba Harlan and Regina Daigle; brother of Joseph, Russell, Kermit, Milfred, Waldon, Jessie and Royce Pitre and Lou Belle Bourgeois. He is also survived by two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilfrid and Lillian Zeringue Pitre and daughter Melissa Pitre. He was a life-long employee of Thompson Machinery Co. and a World War II veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps. Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Pitre of Thibodaux, Louisiana, who passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Shelby "Nick" Pitre; her parents, Willie Guillot and Odelia Guillot; her daughter Melissa Pitre; and her brother Bill "Nookie" Guillot. She is survived by her daughters, Shelba Harlan (Leo Bickham) and Regina Smith (David); her grandchildren, Conrad Harlan (Wendy), Christopher Daigle (Lana), Blythe Bickham (Allan Colbert), David Smith, Jr. and Megan Smith (Dustin Villemarette); and her niece Marlene Guillot. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
