Obituary:  The Saginaw News (Saginaw, MI), Monday, 10 March 1952:  Petre, Mrs. Fred, 3235 Glasby Street, wife of Fred Petre passed away at Saginaw General Hospital early Sunday morning.  Age 69 years.  Melvina A, Duquette was born Sept. 5, 1882 in Saginaw, and has lived here her entire life.  In 1904 she was married to Fred Petre.  Besides her husband she leaves two sons and two daughters, Glenn and Chester Petre, Mrs. Thelma Clarkson, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Beatrice Stephenson, of Detroit; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.  Also seven brothers and five sisters, Fred Duquette, St. Paul, Minn.; Louis Duquette, St. Charles; Mrs. N. A. Larabell, Grand Rapids; Mrs. Joseph Ruegsegger, Mrs. Gordon Pococke, Mrs. Fred Martin, Mrs. Joseph Griffore, Delore, Arthur, Napoleon, Leo and Albert Duquette, all of Saginaw.  Funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Case Chapel.  Dr. Harry Suttner will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call at the chapel after 5 p.m. Monday.

Glenn Alfred Petre:  The Tampa Tribune (Tampa, FL), Tuesday, 25 June 1968:  Bradenton - Glenn Alfred Petre, 62, 3406 20th St., W., died Friday.  Born in Michigan, he came here five years ago and was a Lutheran.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beryl Starr Petre; a brother, Chester Petre, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Stephenson, Arizona, Mrs. Thelma Clarkston, Michigan.

 

Elizabeth Petre:  Saginaw News (Saginaw, MI), Wednesday, 30 June 1909 - Petre - The funeral of Elizabeth, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Petre, took place Tuesday at 3:30 from the residence, 315 Glasby street, and at 4 o'clock from the Church of the Holy Family.  Rev. Fr. Prud'homme officiated and interment was in Calvary cemetery.

 

Chester Louis Petre:  The Saginaw News (Saginaw, MI), Saturday, 15 September 1973:  Petre, Chester L., 2290 Hemmeter Road.  Passed away Friday afternoon Sept. 14, 1973, at Saginaw General Hospital.  Age 63.  He was born Aug. 14, 1910 in Saginaw and had been a lifelong resident.  He was a graduate of Saginaw High School and General Motors Technical Institute.  He was employed by Chevrolet Parts Plant for 38 years and at the time of his retirement in 1971 was superintendent of master mechanics.  He was a member of the First Congregational Church and had been a church clerk and a member and past president of the church board.  He was a member of the Optimist Club, the Society of Tool Engineers, a member and past master of the Ancient Landmarks Lodge 303, F&AM, the St. Bernards Commandry 16, the Knights Templar, and the Industrial Executives Club.  He married Marcelyn Zehnder on Aug. 20, 1932.  She survives him.  He is also survived by two daughters and a son, Mrs. George (Yvonne) Baumann Jr. and Ronald M. Petre, both of Saginaw, and Mrs. Walter (Linda) Skrocki, of Munger.  He is survived by eight grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Thelma) Clarkson, of Saginaw, and Mrs. Hollis (Beatrice) Stephenson, of Detroit.  A brother, Glen Petre, predeceased him.  Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the Case Chapel.  The Rev. John Iliff will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.  Those friends who so desire may make memorials to the Phoenix Fund at the First Congregational Church ot to the Michigan Heart Society.
