Obituary: Beaumont Journal (TX), Monday, 29 January 1973: Robert Lane Pitre, 48, 685 Lindberg, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in Baptist Hospital. A native of Lake Charles, he had lived in Beaumont 14 years. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in Kelley-Hixson Chapel. Graveside rites will be held in Lake Charles cemetery at 3:30 p.m. He is survived by one son, Randle Lane Pitre, Beaumont; a daughter, Miss Wanda Gail Pitre, Beaumont, and a brother, Thomas J. Pitre, Lake Charles.

Obituary: Beaumont Enterprise (Beaumont, TX), Sunday, 16 July 1995: Dollie Odessa Willard Pitre, 65, of Cheel died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Broussard's Mortuary in Beaumont with burial at Broussard's Cemetery in Fannett. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. A native of Jackson, Miss., and former longtime resident of Beaumont, she lived in Cheek several years. Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Gail Pitre of Cheek and Janet Matie Hargett of North Carolina, sons, Randy Lane Pitre of Cheek and Gene Charles Sprouse, both of Cleveland; mother, Ruby Louise Johnson of Houston; sister, Frankie Ann Linhart of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at St John’s Lutheran Church, Beaumont, TX, officiated by Reverend Douglas Rathgeber.

He was born December 7, 1961, to Dollie Williard and Robert Lane Pitre. A 1980 graduate from Forest Park High School in Beaumont, Randie enjoyed fishing and working as a driller in the oil field industry. He is survived by his fiance, Carol Posey of Corpus Christi; sister, Wanda Pitre of Cheek; brother, Robert Sprouse of Cleveland; and many loving cousins. His cremation arrangements were held at Unity Chapel in Corpus Christi.
