Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), July 2000:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel for Gladys Portier Pitre, 79, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, who died at 4:55 p.m. July 6, 2000.  Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the St. Francis de Sales II Cemetery in Houma.  She was the mother of Gerald P. Pitre of Houma.  She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Joseph Pitre, and parents, George I. and Louise Chaisson Pitre.  Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.

Gerald Paul Pitre:  Falgout Funeral Home (LA), Saturday, 15 November 2008:  Gerald Pitre, 67, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at 2:51 a.m.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 11 a.m. at Falgout Funeral Home.  Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery.  He is survived by his sons, John and wife, Maria, and Jamie and wife, Becky; his daughter, Alena Pitre; and three grandchildren, Kourtney, Logan and Brennan Pitre; and parents Roy and Gladys Portier Pitre.  He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette.  He retired from Schlumberger Well Services after 31 years.  Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
