Obituary: Doris Marie Bergeron Pitre, 61, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bisland Cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Kirk, Kris Sr. and Mickey Pitre Sr., all of Houma.; two daughters, Kathleen Landry and Anne Daigle, both of Houma; three brothers, Paul Merlin and Robert Bergeron Sr., both of Houma, and Joseph Bergeron of Montegut; four sisters, Evelyn Bethencourt and Josephine LeBouef, both of Houma, Virginia Pellegrin of Montegut, and Wanda Hook of Madisonville, KY; 28 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Joseph Pitre; her parents, Eddie and Emily Hebert Bergeron; two sons, Kenneth and Willie Pitre; one daughter, Rose Marie Pitre; three brothers, Clarence, Raymond and John Bergeron Sr.; and one great-grandchild, Christopher Quinly. She was a retired janitor for Terrebonne Parish School Board and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
