Obituary:  Massena Observer (NY), Thursday, 5 July 5 1973:  North Lawrence - Raphael J. Peet, 76, Hopkinton, died early Monday morning, July 2, 1973, at the Charlebois Nursing Home following an illness of two years. The funeral was held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Cross, Hopkinton.  Burial was made in Mound Hill Cemetery, Nicholville.  Mr. Peet is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Peet; a son, Durwood Peet, Hopkinton; two grandchildren, Thomas and Nancy, and a brother, Thomas, Hopkinton.  Mr. Peet was born in the Town of Hopkinton Jan. 1,1897, son of William and Jane Savery Peet.  He married Emma Russell Jan. 23, 1918.  For 20 years, he was employed by the State Highway Department, retiring in 1962.  He was a communicant of the church of the Holy Cross, Hopkinton.

Obituary:  Watertown Daily Times (NY), Thursday, 25 March 1993:  EMMA B. PEET, 92, ONCE OF HOPKINTON, DIES -  Emma B. Peet, 92, formerly of Mayfield Apartments and Hopkinton, died Wednesday evening at the Community Nursing Home.  The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Raymond Moreau officiating.  Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Nicholville, later in the spring.  Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home, North Lawrence.  Contributions may be made to St. Mary's restoration campaign.  Surviving are a grandson, Thomas C. Peet, Potsdam; a granddaughter, Nancy L. Peet, Seattle, Wash.; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  A son, Durwood T., died Dec. 25, 1975.  Four brothers, Earl, Ernest, Edward and Emory, and a sister, Edith Tebo, also died before her.  Born March 21, 1901, in Hopkinton, daughter of Henry and Dalia Young Russell, she was educated in Hopkinton schools and married Raphael J. Peet Jan. 23, 1918, in Nicholville.  Mr. Peet died July 2, 1973.  Mrs. Peet was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Sandstoners Senior Citizens.
