Obituary:  The Daily Review (Morgan City, LA), Friday, 29 April 2011:  Pitre funeral Saturday - Rita H. Pitre, September 10, 1921 - April 23, 2011 (photo) - Rita H. Pitre, a native and longtime resident of Morgan City, passed away in Baton Rouge on April 23, 2011, at the age of 89.  Mrs. Pitre is survived by her four children, R. D. Pitre III of Madisonville, Stephanie Roy of Baton Rouge, Marsha Arcemont of Covington, and Ray Pitre of Breaux Bridge.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Rita was preceded in death by her husband, R. D. Pitre Jr.; her parents, Joseph and Junietta Hebert; and her brother, Ralph Hebert.  Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church beginning at 10 a.m.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment will be in the future at West Lawn in Gretna.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Ray Joseph Pitre:  The Daily Review (Morgan City, LA), Tuesday, 5 June 2012:  A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Ray Joseph Pitre, 55, who passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.  A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.  Ray is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Gussman Pitre; two daughters, Erica Pitre Louviere and her husband Scott, and Erin Pitre Doré and her husband Jayde; his brother, Romain D. Pitre III and his wife Renée; two sisters, Stephanie Roy and her husband Dieter, and Marsha Arcemont and her husband Edwin; and four grandchildren, Riley Louviere, and Leigha, Wyatt and Luna Doré.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Romain D. Pitre Jr. and Rita Hebert Pitre.  Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
