Obituary:  The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Tuesday, 3 December 1968:  Raymond Camille Pitre, 67, of Alexandria died at 2:30 a.m. Monday.  He was a retired railroad conductor.  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Pitre of Alexandria; two sons, Carlos R. Pitre of Alexandria and Raymond Pitre Jr. of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Marie Roberts and Mrs. Ethel Fay Wells of Alexandria, and Miss Annabelle Pitre; one brother, G. A. Pitre of New Orleans, and 10 grandchildren.  Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. today in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.  Burial was to be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of First National Funeral Home.

Obituary:  The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Friday, 26 August 2006:  Kearney, Luella Fryoux Pitre Hernandez.  A retired nurse with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Harvest Manor in Denham Springs, she passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Landmark of Baton Rouge.  She was 95, a native of Plaquemine and a resident of Holden.  Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by Deacon Warren and Devon and Kathy Pedeaux, pastors.  Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.  She is survived by two sons, Raymond Pitre Jr. and wife Ester and Tracy A. Hernandez Jr. and wife Karen; daughter, Janet LeBourgeois and husband Norman Sr.; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Pitre Sr., Tracy Hernandez Sr. and Joseph Kearney; daughter, Gail Hernandez Weimer; daughter-in-law, Georgia Hernandez; grandson, Gregory Joseph Hernandez Sr.; and parents, Hillery and Palmia Hebert Fryoux.  Pallbearers will be Shawn Hernandez, Chris LeBourgeois, Jordan Pedeaux, Daniel Hernandez, Michael LeBourgeois and Jake Pedeaux.  She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany.

Obituary:  The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Sunday, 13 July 1975:  Mrs. Mary Brewster Pitre, 66, of Alexandria died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Rapides General Hospital.  A housewife, she was the widow of Raymond G. Pitre.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James M. Roberts of Alexandria, and Mrs. Larry Wells of Pineville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. with Rev. Glen Wagnon officiating.  Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens.  Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 p.m. today.

Raymond C. Pitre:  Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Sunday, 2 November 2008:  Raymond C. Pitre Jr., 79, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at 9 a.m. at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve.  He was a retired electrician, a member of IBEW Local 995 and a U.S. Army veteran.  Survivors include his loving wife, Esther Holley Pitre; two daughters, Charmaine Lemoine and Darnell Nickels; two sons, Clint Pitre and Darrin Pitre; a half sister, Janet LeBourgeois; and a half brother, T. A. Hernandez.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his former wife and mother of his children, Virginia B. Pitre. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Visitation continues from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in Port Hudson National Cemetery.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in his honor to The Alzheimer's Association for Research, Chicago, IL or to the charity of your choice.

Edith Fae Pitre:  Services for Edith Fae Wells will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Dale Meade officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.  The family requests visitation be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  Mrs. Wells, 89, of Pineville passed from this life, Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Hilltop Nursing Home.  During her working career she was an operator for South Central Bell and long time member of the Communications Workers of America Union and Catholic Daughters of America.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ray Wells; son, Charles Raymond Ivey; daughter, Karla I. Rice.  Those left to cherish his memory include her son, Larry Ray Wells, Jr.; daughter, Dealva Ivey; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

 

Carlos Raymond Pitre:  The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Friday, 15 January 1971:  Carlos Raymond Pitre, 35, died at about 8 a.m. today at his home in Alexandria.  He was a brakeman for the Texas and Pacific Railroad.  His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Pitre; two daughters, Donna Pitre and Carla Pitre, both of Alexandria; his mother, Mrs. R. C. Pitre, Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Roberts, Alexandria, and Mrs. Fae Welles, Pineville.  The remains will be at the First National Funeral Home in Alexandria.  Funeral arrangements were incomplete late today.
