Obituary: The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Tuesday, 3 December 1968: Raymond Camille Pitre, 67, of Alexandria died at 2:30 a.m. Monday. He was a retired railroad conductor. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Pitre of Alexandria; two sons, Carlos R. Pitre of Alexandria and Raymond Pitre Jr. of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Marie Roberts and Mrs. Ethel Fay Wells of Alexandria, and Miss Annabelle Pitre; one brother, G. A. Pitre of New Orleans, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. today in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Burial was to be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Frist National Funeral Home.

Obituary: The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Sunday, 13 July 1975: Mrs. Mary Brewster Pitre, 66, of Alexandria died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Rapides General Hospital. A housewife, she was the widow of Raymond G. Pitre. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James M. Roberts of Alexandria, and Mrs. Larry Wells of Pineville; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. with Rev. Glen Wagnon officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 p.m. today.

Raymond C. Pitre: Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Sunday, 2 November 2008: Raymond C. Pitre Jr., 79, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at 9 a.m. at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve. He was a retired electrician, a member of IBEW Local 995 and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his loving wife, Esther Holley Pitre; two daughters, Charmaine Lemoine and Darnell Nickels; two sons, Clint Pitre and Darrin Pitre; a half sister, Janet LeBourgeois; and a half brother, T. A. Hernandez. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his former wife and mother of his children, Virginia B. Pitre. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation continues from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Port Hudson National Cemetery. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in his honor to The Alzheimer's Association for Research, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633 or to the charity of your choice.
Misc.: Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Friday, 13 July 1945 - Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Hernandez entertained with a surprise party in honor of their son, Raymond Pitre, on his 16th birthday Tuesday night. Cake and ice cream were served. (Also a list of guests.)
Carlos Raymond Pitre: The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Friday, 15 January 1971: Carlos Raymond Pitre, 35, died at about 8 a.m. today at his home in Alexandria. He was a brakeman for the Texas and Pacific Railroad. His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Pitre; two daughters, Donna Pitre and Carla Pitre, both of Alexandria; his mother, Mrs. R. C. Pitre, Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Roberts, Alexandria, and Mrs. Fae Welles, Pineville. The remains will be at the First National Funeral Home in Alexandria. Funeral arrangements were incomplete late today.
