Obituary:  Toledo Blade (Toledo, OH), Monday, 12 November 1956:  Erie, Mich., Nov. 12 - Roy Charles Pete, 53, of Erie, died Saturday in the home of a sister, Mrs. George Bloom, in Newport.  He was a construction worker and had lived his entire life in this area.  Surviving also are sisters, Mrs. Florence Knueven, and Mrs. Viola Grodi, of Erie, and Mrs. Virginia Holt, of Bunnell, Fla.  Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Maurice Mortuary and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Obituary:  The Monroe Evening News (Monroe, MI), Wednesday, 29 December 1943:  Erie, Dec. 29 - Mrs. Roy Pete of Erie who had been ill since May and in the hospital since Sunday, died yesterday at 1 p.m. in Mercy Hospital.  She was born Gertrude Morrin July 28, 1900 in Erie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rige Morrin.  She is survived by her husband; three sons by a former marriage, all in military service, Richard Perry in Alaska, Norman Perry in Texas and Eugene Perry in Camp Grant, Illinois; a daughter, Mary Ann Perry, at home; a brother, James Morrin, stationed in England; and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Bostwick and Mrs. Marie Mahnen, both of Toledo.  Funeral services will be held Friday from the Allore, Beam and Weber mortuary.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park cemetery.
